I mentioned in my last post that I have been given an "official" blogging position - thank you for your very sweet enthusiasm for me! I'm really very excited about it. So excited, in fact, that I banged out an epic debut post! I have a lot of ~thoughts and feelings~ about the match tomorrow, Germany vs Sweden, for which Germany has called up a lot of new, young faces, a couple of whom are MY BBS Lewis Holtby and André Schürrle! It's actually a really important moment for many of these young players, who will have their first chance to prove themselves as valuable assets for the senior squad.

I know to most of you this post will be entirely nonsense, but I'd appreciate a click out of the goodness of your hearts - my bosses count our hits! And for the few of you that are interested, I hope you'll find the post enjoyable and informative. :)

So without further ado, my blogging debut! Can the Kids Play? In Sweden, They Will...

Whoo, congrats on popping your cherry! Only had time to skim the post, since I'm about to head off to work. I'm always surprised how many new players get added every time. I hardly know half of the names. Sigh. I'm getting old. ;)

Haha, thanks! This is a very unusual little fixture though, the whole point this time is to add new players. :) For the game against Italy in February we'll probably be back to mostly familiar faces, but the curious part will be which of the youngsters makes an impression on Jogi, enough to keep them around. So excited to see them get their chance today!

Thanks so much for taking a look dear. ♥

Interesting read! As a Swede I'm of course watching the match, even though I actually find it hard to get properly invested in our national team. (What can I say, my heart belongs to my club.) But football is football!

Germany really do have a lot of exciting youngsters coming through the ranks, it seems. Sweden have a few interesting prospects, too - the current Swedish champions won the league with a squad where their most important player was 20 years old, and most of them not much older - but not quite of the same calibre, I don't think.

Will have to wait and see if we get any goals tonight!

Just read this blog and your Sweden reaction and I have to say:

Holtby, for one, seems rather starstruck by Schweinsteiger (I know I would be…)

I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE :DDDDDD

Great job, darling! ♥
