Hi! Thank you! I love your icon! :D I'm so cut off from LJ that I only know one other person that loves Haven, but it's great to know it's getting some appreciation! I was warned when I got into TVD that the storytelling is incredibly fast, and whoo boy is it ever! They whip through plot developments and emotional arcs by the dozens, but it never feels rushed, just incredibly satisfying, as you say. I have a knee jerk reaction against calling it cheese, because it makes me feel ALL of the emotions, and are real emotions ever actually "cheesy"? I don't know, I think they've done a great job constructing characters that feel real in a pretty ridiculous context (I mean, how many towns have a celebration of their founders EVERY WEEK?). But yeah, I guess it's cheese - cheese that I gobble up and then ask for more. :D
