Need help with torrents!

exsequarI just started using torrents to download Alias season 4, which I missed entirely. I'm using BitTornado as my client or whatever, and I get my torrents from TorrentSpy.
Now the weird problem is that when I download the next episode (I'm getting them from a season 4 complete torrent, just downloading the individual files one at a time) the one before it simply disappears from my files. Is this because I'm removing it from the queue in the details? I thought that once it was already downloaded, it wouldn't matter. Once it just chopped off a part of the first episode, like it had been in the process of being removed, backwards, but then I stopped the download so the deleting stops. It's kind of weird. Any advice?
