I forgot to talk about Narnia!! I'm making a new post, because that last one was HUGE and I really don't want to add to it. But yes, I saw Narnia today. It was quite the ordeal - the first showing we tried to go to was sold out, so we agonized for a while before buying tickets for the next showing, and then going home and coming back. Well, everyone else went home, I stayed at Borders ^_^ Then, after the movie, my aunt lost her keys so we were locked out of the car and my uncle had to come get us and she still hasn't found her keys and it's all very woeful.
Overall, I really enjoyed it. It was pretty damn entertaining, never got boring or slow. I thought the kids did a fantastic job. Like everyone's saying, Peter (or rather William Moseley) is freaking BEAUTIFUL. And that really is the right word. So pretty! Guh. What a golden boy :D Then, Lucy was adorable and sweet and about a good an actress as a girl that age can be. Susan was sweet enough, although a bit bland. Edmund made me want to smack him for the first half of the movie, but I suppose that's the point, and I enjoyed his moment of heroism at the end.
Aslan was very well done - both in terms of effects and the character. I didn't find out til the end that it was Liam Neeson, but it makes sense because I love Liam's voice, it's so deep and serene. They did a great job of creating emotions on a lion's face, which is pretty difficult. At least with Gollum, they had abasically human framework, but Aslan's just another world entirely.
Let's see... I don't really have many more thoughts. It was very entertaining, although quite scary at parts (I mean for little kids) as I had my 8 year old cousin on my lap for the whole movie and she was whimpering and hiding her eyes quite often. Poor thing. But she did like the movie, it was just kind of frightening at parts.
