My old soccer coach just emailed me to tell me that my old teammate's dad just passed away this morning.

I was never on the best of terms with her, but god. I can't... I can't even imagine that. She's only 17/18, and her sister's only 15... they have two older brothers as well. It is the most terrible thing to lose a father that young.

I'd appreciate it if your thoughts were with her.

I appreciate that, thank you. It's good to know that people can come out intact from an experience like that... though I'm sure it doesn't feel like that at the time. I'm glad your friend and her family are okay.
