Save Darfur Rally

I was there!

I spent today in Washington Dc at the Save Darfur Rally. There were lots of people there (I have no idea exactly how many, I don't do crowd size estimates) and it was a great experience. Lots and LOTS of speakers, including a bunch of big names (I'm not as up on current politics as I should be, so I didn't recognize as many as I should have), and yes, George clooney - however, we had to leave before he spoke. Oh well, I doubt he had anything to say that hadn't been said 10 times already, lol.

I'm exhausted, but it was totally worth it.

Gah, I'm so very jealous. I wanted to go--it's a cause that I'm behind 100%--and I only live about an hour from DC...but unfortunately I had no transportation. =/ It's great that you went, though!

OMG, you were totally in my city! :-D

I wasn't downtown but we felt the reverberations all the way up in NW with traffic backing up and people walking with signs...it's the best part about living here, I swear. And only the REAL GOOD protests ripple effect up to this point so it must have been amazing!

Ooh, that's awesome! It was pretty huge - I've never been to a rally before, but I think it was pretty damn successful :)
