Nicole Kidman to play Mrs. Coulter in The Goldan Compass

First of all EEEEE I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS MOVIE. Second of all, Nicole Kidman, great, I like her very much and I can totally see her as Mrs. Coulter. But third and most importnatly, there are rumors that PAUL BETTANY will play Lord Asriel!! *more flappyhands* I just... eeeeee! I LOVE HIM. And this movie BETTER be good or I will be mad at someone. But with a cast like this they're definitely getting a good start! YAY!

Oh my God. My reaction to making movies like this of my favoritest books is always dread. Like, OMG they're going to ruin it SO BADLY (that was exactly how I felt about HP and Narnia, for example). I keep hating the idea up until I see the trailer and then I think "This will be AWESOME!!1!" and then I pay lots of money to see it in theaters.

Anyway, my point was, I'm still sort of dreading this until I can see some footage. Although, Paul Bettany? He and Nicole do work well together. I just can't picture him as a Lord Asriel.
