Augh, you guys, it was so good. SO GOOD. I was so hoarse and hot and sweaty afterward from hollering and dancing my mind out because they were SO FUCKING GOOD. I can't even.
And our seats were AMAZING. Front row, because even though we were in row K there was the disabled area in front of us, so we had railings to lean on and no one to get in our way and a PERFECT view of our boys. And oh they were looking FINE. Very simple all-black ensembles for all of them, plus Mikey's HOOKER BOOTS which I kind of want to lick.
( Here, have a visual! (GIGANTIC) )
According to Gerard, it was the biggest show they've EVER PLAYED that wasn't "a festival or any of that bullshit" (video of his absolutely adorable enunciation of 'bullshit' to come) which I didn't realize at all! And they really went all out. They made me unspeakably happy because they not only played Honey This Mirror and HEADFIRST FOR HALOS (sdlfkjsldkfjs!!!!!) but also... DESERT SONG!!!! Augh augh AUGH. Ray came out with just an acoustic guitar for the second to last song, by himself, and I went "Oooh what's this??" and then the first chords came in and Gerard came on stage and I think my eyes might have fallen out of my FACE. DESERT SONG! And oh, oh my, it was gorgeous. My camera was sadly out of memory at that point, but I know a million copies are gonna pop up online anyway, so I just threw my heart into it. Definitely a highlight. Oh oh oh, my boys. *heartclench*
I'm so glad I went with a fellow fangirl. Matilda (
erode) and I had such a blast together. :D She's such a sweetheart and I have made a new friend out of this whole mess of shenanigans! YAY! *snuggles her*
I'll say more later, probably with pictures and videos (depending on how they look - I think my videos are good visual quality but shitty audio, meh), but right now I HAS AN AMANDA!! \o/ We're gonna go in to Trinity to see Colin and maybe some of the other boys.
