So I thought I had rambled here recently about Seattle, but apparently I haven't, so - I'm going to Seattle tomorrow! \o/ To visit the University of Washington Biochemistry Doctorate Program, for those playing the home game. I'm very excited, it's going to be a super fun weekend. Everyone says Seattle is just lovely, and the weekend they've got planned for me looks amazing. Lots of free meals, tours of the campus and Seattle, a grad student-hosted party, nights out at bars, etc etc. Not to mention meeting all the students and professors, of course! Right now I'm reading some of the professors' papers and such to get myself familiar with their work. I've also been doing laundry and packing. It's hard to know what to bring when I have no idea how people are going to be dressing! Luckily the weather's gonna be quite nice, mid forties and just cloudy, so that's good.

Off I go to finish preparing! I will be gone basically for four days, so I'd definitely appreciate someone dropping me a line if, say, MCR does something super precious (AGAIN) or more extras surface from the Merlin V2 DVDs (COMMENTARIEEEEES. NEED.) or etc etc.

I have safely landed in Seattle. \o/ Today was freaking exhausting - I left home 12 hours ago, and lugging two heavy bags around an airport is no treat. But I got here without incident, there is free hotel wireless, I met a nice guy who's also visiting the same program on the shuttle to the inn, and my roommate is nice too. I forget that I actually have social skills now - thank you Dublin! :D

Seattle is so beautiful from the sky at night. Vast and twinkly. There's so much water too! And what little I saw of the neighborhood seems quite nice. The first Seattlean I saw was a dude with dreadlocks looking out a window. I feel this is an appropriate beginning :D

I am actually too tired to say more, so that's it. *flops*

ETA: MY ROOMMATE IS LOOKING AT FAILBLOG. I feel like we're going to get along :D
