Remember Robert Johnson's version of the demon? A young black woman? Well, guess why she looked so familiar? She played Taylor, Lori's roommate in Hookman! How bizarre is that? I mean, I knew CW casting was incestuous, but twice on the same show?? That's so bizarre. It's not like she was that fantastic, or had a huge role! Anyone able to explain why something like this would happen?

It's happened on Buffy and the X-Files too. Sometiems casting directors take a shine to someone. Or maybe they think we just won't notice or won't care.

Canadian casting, small part casting. *shrugs* Sometimes there's no one else to cast so they recycle actors. You're the first person I've seen mention it so I guess they figured not many people would notice.

In Torchwood there's a character called Gwen. The actress who plays her was also in a part on Doctor Who called Gwendolyn or something like that in one episode. There's been no reference made to that yet in TW (it's a spinoff of DW) but it's rather cool. I'm sure there's going to be a bigger purpose for that, but it's neat to wonder how the writers play that sort of stuff. /random
