starsouls1013 speaking!
Dude, I LOVE my organic chem teacher. No, really. I just went to talk to him about possibly doing research with him at some point. Unfortunately, the answer was mostly a no, as he is going on sabbatical next year and therefore can't take on any new students right now. But what he DID say was that if he wasn't going on sabbatical, he would have already approached me personally about doing research with him. And I was all, *FLAIL*. Because that is just such a gigantic vote of confidence, and I'm like eeeeeee! So he told me some other professors I should approach, and that (he emphasized this point by saying it again as I was leaving) if I need him to vouch for me to any professor, he'd be 100% willing to. He also explained his research to me, just for interests sake, and it's really cool and I would have LOVED to work with him godammit but alas and I am a huge geek and science is totally for me, omg.
*flails*
...and now to do some studying!
