So I was watching SGA and Sheppard mentioned the Mensa test, and Rodney was all "You're part of Mensa?!" and Sheppard said that he passed the test but never joined. And I was all HEEEE because even MORE reason for Rodney to love his big gay boyfriend because they can be all brainy together! *bounces* ANYway, this made me curious and I went to the Mensa website, seeing if they had any online practice tests. And they sort of did - what they call the "Mensa workout", 30 questions in 30 minutes, which should give you a good idea of how you would perform on the Mensa test. So I took it, and this was my result:

Your score was 26 out of 30. That is an excellent score, you would have a very strong chance of passing the Mensa test and joining Mensa.

Hee! I am so tempted to try to join Mensa now. How cool would that be?

Mensa in America is a drinking & sex club; Mensa in Europe (Germany I know of for sure) is much more socially responsible.

I was a member for a few years, but got tired of the "Mensa mentality" of USA members, Perhaps if I ever get to move back to Europe I'll try again.

If you do think you want to join, see if there is a meeting group near you. If there is they usually have open meeting every so often. (The San Antonio group had an open meeting once a month when I was with them.) See what you think of the participating membership before you decide to join.

Of course, you can always join, i.e. pay the yearly dues, so you have the bragging rights but never interact with any of the active membership. You'd be surprised how many people do that.

Ha, I wouldn't be surprised at ALL. It's a pretty nifty thing to be able to say, that you're a Mensa member. I'm not really serious though - perhaps when I'm older. :)
