exsequarDexter is KIND OF MADE OF AWESOME.
Okay, considering the fandom I'm in, I KNOW I wasn't alone with the UNREQUITED BROTHERFUCKING practically falling out of my screen, right? With how Brian gently held Dexter after he, uh, drugged him, and the hand holding, and the foreheads, and all the OTHER touching, and also! The flashbacks to the kids? Dude, those were some freakily touchy kids.
(Oh PS, did anyone else notice how freakishly similar this was to Webber and Andy on Supernatural? Crazy long lost brother killing people, then expecting to have a joyful reunion with his brother? Said other brother having to kill crazy brother? Huh!)
One question - could their traumatic experience *really* transform them that fundamentally, into killers? I'm honestly curious - I know nothing about this stuff.
I see Deb/Doakes in the future, and to be honest? AWESOME. I adore them both now (Deb completely grew on me over the season) and that would just be one hotass pairing, yo.

I'm so curious to see how Rita reacts to the shoe! I'd love for her to just throw it away and not care. Because Paul? TRASH.
Um lessee what else. I finally lost it when Deb broke down in the ambulance. Oh oh. And God, I love that Dex truly loves Deb, enough to sacrifice Brian for her - it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
I kind of love this new lieutenant. I can't wait to see how she shakes things up. I felt awful for Maria (she also grew on me! once they dropped the creepy hitting-on-Dexter thing) but I think things are gonna look up.
Angel is kind of awesomesauce. *draws hearts*
Basically, this show is SO COOL. I'm deeply intrigued to see where they go from here, because it seems like it'll be hard to top this season arc (not like they can drag up more mysteries from Dexter's past, yknow? so I wonder how they'll make something really personal for him, as they obviously must). But damn, I loved it. Woo!
I also love that brothers seems to be the new black :D

Date: 2006-12-26 12:03 pm (UTC)I was in love with Deb from the moment I first saw her, I am even more in love with her now that I am reading the books. So I was having major freak outs during the last ep because I really expected her to die.
I believe the first season was based on the first book, and the second will be based on the second, and then the (hopefully) third will be based on the third book which is out in July.

And I love how Dex is FOND OF Deb. When he said that my insides sort of melted, because that, from him, was worth ten thousand impassioned speeches from anyone else.
And I crush on Deb, and Angel is fantastic, and Doakes is so cool, and Deb/Doakes is gonna be amazing. Eee.
