exsequar: (SN Boys so happy together)

I went to my first KICKBOXING CLASS tonight! SO AWESOME. The teacher is perky and cool and fun, and it was just a really lowkey environment and a great cardio workout for an hour. Woo! I'll be doing that once a week for the rest of the semester. AWESOME.

I'm still depressed about BSG.

I accidentally stumbled on a mild spoiler for SPN 2x20, and OOOOOOH. SO EXCITED. *FLAP FLAP* Alas, today is not actually Winchester Day, but ONLY ONE MORE WEEK! Wahoo!

I'm having my first Being a Car Owner drama! My headlights are BOTH dead, which my father has hypothesized is because a fuse died in my car. Of course this had to happen a few days before I have to drive 5 hours, mostly in the dark, to get home for spring break. SIGH. I'm going to go to Advance Auto Parts to try to get it fixed tomorrow. I am nervous. Wish me luck!

Um, that's all? Yes, random post. Talk to me, people! \o/

Good luck! I've never actually owned my own car, but my parents sent me to get a tire patched last year, and I was more than a little nervous about dealing with it all by myself. I brought along a book to calm me down, and almost had a laughing fit when I thought about the scene: me, a (fairly) innocent-looking girl, reading hardcore gay vampire sex whilst making smalltalk with the dudes at the repair shop. XD

Heeee! Maybe I should bring my SPN Slash anthology with me to keep me calm! Teehee. That's hilarious. Thanks for the commiseration! *hearts*

You are always so chatty and cute. I am so bad about actually posting in my own LJ these days let alone responding to friends.
So first I shall wish you luck with the car drama. *sends good vibes to the broken auto*
Second, dahling I think we have had this talk....do not say you found a spoiler for SPN and then withhold it. That is just mean!
I mean c'mon, we are all being deprived here for another bloody week! :)
I miss da boys! :)

Hee! I'm glad you enjoy reading my LJ

Thanks for the vibes! *crosses fingers*

Oh, do you really want me to share? It's a very general spoiler, but neat. Here, I'll put it in white, highlight to read! I read that 2x20 is called What Is and Should Be and is an "AU", and that in some picture from it or something, Dean is wearing a different necklace. The person talking about it assumed other people already knew spoilers, so I don't know the nature of the "AU", but that's fine with me. That's such a cool idea - I'm really excited! :D

Eeeep, I miss the boys toooo!

Unless the guys at the auto place are way scary, ask 'em to show you where the fuses are in your car. A lot of the time you can get to them from inside (not in the engine) and if you know where they are you can change them yourself in future and save the repair money. (I'm a big fan of learning how to at least do all the things that don't involve having to lift the car or getting all greasy in the engine. *G*)

My daddy told me that would probably be the case, so he said to look in my manual and see if it tells me where the fuses are, so I can perhaps just buy the part and, like you said, fix it myself. I hope I don't have to leave it there for repairs, since I have to leave for break tomorrow! *eep* But yis, I agree, I want to learn how to fix things in my baby by myself. I like cars, time I started actually learning something about them! *g*

When you're at the part store, try to pick up a shop manual for your model/year of car. Not only do they lay out how to do pretty much any repair, usually with illustrations, they also explain how the systems on the car work. It's a great way to get introduced and much much more in depth than an owner's manual. You may not actually be able to do most of the repairs due to lack of tools, but at least you can see what's going on. They also usually have troubleshooting guides in them for when systems start to act up.

Totally worth the 20-30 bucks. :D They come by make/model of car and cover a certain number of years for each model. And if stores don't have yours in, they can usually order one. Just a thought!

Thanks for the idea hon! I can always trust you to come through at a pinch with my need-to-know car stuff :D

Cool! I did kickboxing in gym for a while. It was fun while it lasted.
