It seems like my flist is being eaten starting with its bottom by the Black Donnellys! I am saddened, because I feel no desire to read Donnellys fic. I didn't even like the second episode, and at this time don't plan on even continuing to watch. There's something about the whole concept that just bothers me - I like my brothers doing good things but being isolated from the world by it (see: Winchesters, MacManuses), not going around killing people :-/ Y'all are going to be coming back to Sam and Dean as we head into the awesome back end of the season, right? Right? *big eyes*

Speaking of Sam and Dean - THE DIRECTOR'S CUTS!! I just... I have no words, people. None words. I love our boys SO MUCH and next week is going to be FUN and AWESOME \o/ Yay!

I'm right there with you on The Black Donnellys. I watched the third episode just today, and I kept having to pause it and talk in gtalk while I watched, because it was just so boring and I just ... there was no caaring in me whatsoever. I'm so dumping the show.

Boring wasn't how I was thinking of it - more overly bloody and depressing without any redeeming factors. And none of the characters drew me in. I'm glad to hear I'm not alone - not that I want the show to fail, but I was worried something was wrong with me! ^_^

Oh, good! I'm glad I'm not alone! I was worried my fangirlishness was failing me or something. It's just really... dark and graphic without there being a point, to me.

And hey, me too! The way Tommy talks just bothers me :-/ I thought Sean was reeeeally adorable, but then he went and got his face all bashed up >.<

Yeah, I kind of feel like I'm missing some obvious thing or whatever...but, eh. I'm not really into brothercest outside of Sam and Dean anyway though, so I guess I'm not too surprised I don't get off on it. Nothing about it interests me, which sucks because I love the idea of it. It's just not executed well, IMO.

The funny thing is that I am ALL OVER the brothercest. Even the brother-sister cest! *facepalm* Connor and Murphy make me squirm and squee, and I see all KINDS of subtext in Simon and River, though their love is mostly pure. But yeah. I was SO EXCITED for a show about four brothers, Linds. Four IRISH brothers. And then... meh. *sadface*

HEE! He like... doesn't talk clearly! If I was talking to him I'd be worried about getting spit on! haha. Oh I heart you baby *smooshes*

I think it was partly the high expectations that ruined The Black Donnellys for me. And I'm so unhappy that I didn't like it. The eye candy, the family dynamic…and Kirk Acevedo. Man, I have such a thing for him.

See, I was mildly bored in the beginning, but omg it ate me. mainly because tommy just kidna rules, and I love joey icecream and the way it's told, etc, etc.

But yeah, it was mainly the complete violence, to fuck ups, the backstabbing, to horribly tender moments and to the whole, 'oh, didn't I mention that before?' story telling.

oh honey. i do know how you feel. when it felt like EVERYONE and their gay brother was jumping on the 'lets sex mayhem up with both boys but not the boys together,' i felt very lonely. it will pass! no one leaves out boys for long. or at all really!

I'm in the same boat on BD. I tried watching some of it since everyone's been all, "OMG BROTHER ANGST \o/" but I do not like the whole outlaw aspect of it. Or I guess I should say, outlaw-with-little-remorse. I'm sticking to the Ghostbusters, thankyouverymuch.

YES. The no remorse thing is totally throwing me. I mean, Tommy is doing some really truly hideous things, aaaand... he doesn't seem to care. Sure he's doing it for his brother, but I can't bring myself to care about THAT because his brother (Jimmy) is an idiot. *hands* Whatevs.

I don't know if I'm willing to give up on it just yet, but I can't say I'm that excited over this show. I've watched the first two episodes, which were very good, but then I got stuck... I started watching the web episode (lol, I think it was called 1x2.5 or something) and stopped watching it halfway. I never do that. I have the third episode on my computer over a week and didn't try to watch it yet. I don't know what I think of this show yet. *shruggs*

But OMG, brothercest has taken over my brain. I'm terrible. :D
