I really love the Beatles. Playing my library of 101 Beatles songs on shuffle while writing my paper has proved very relaxing. "Someday when we're dreaming, deep in love, not a lot to say, then we will remember, things we said today..." *hums contentedly*
Yes, you read that right - I'm writing a paper *facepalm* I probably should have passed on watching Supernatural, both to make use of the time and to avoid being distracted. But, HA. Like that was happening.
I think my paper's quite good. I'm pleased with it. I've still got an intro and conclusion to write, though. Sigh.
No point to this post other than to share my Beatles love and paper woes.
EEEEE MY DOWNLOAD OF "HEART" JUST COMPLETED!!!!
...dammit. Focus, Anne, focus!

Date: 2007-03-24 12:00 am (UTC)You know, when I was in college, writing the intro and conclusions were ALWAYS the last things I wrote too cuz I HATED THEM. Hm, this is why later in my college career, I started writing creative papers. I wrote an essay as a letter to one of the characters. Another paper I wrote was all in dialogue, myself with the main character. Funny how I took that risk without even asking the prof if it was okay. I don't know what I would've done if that method had backfired.
Good luck finishing the rest of the paper!

Date: 2007-03-24 12:07 am (UTC)I hear ya - intros and conclusions are the worst. My intros tend to get too... hm, colloquial? I'm talking about the topic, but I don't make them formal outlines of the paper to come. I don't know. I always go back and at least edit if not completely write them after I've written the body, cause the body of the paper always goes in some direction I wasn't expecting, and the intro has to reflect what's actually in the paper! And then conclusions are just like pulling teeth :P
Wow, that's quite daring! And it didn't backfire? Impressive ^_^
