How many hearts will die tonight?

BSG. So I've seen through 2x12 Resurrection Ship Pt. 2. Big spoilers behind the cut up through that ep.
Lee.. oh gods, Lee. He's so... broken. I... I can't even process it, cause he's Lee, he's strong and sure and APOLLO, but now he's... broken. It makes me want to cry.
Kara came out of the whole thing more intact, but she was on the verge of doing this horrible thing that would have really messed with her. I admire her loyalty to Adama, and I didn't like that she was getting suckered in by Kane's (mostly) BS - Bill should have told her about the whole civilian ships debacle. Then again, she was partially right (Kara) in saying that they may have been better off with Kane around. I don't know. I'm glad she's gone, personally, cause she kind of grated on me, but still. It was very interesting to have this completely different style of command juxtaposed with Adama and Roslin. I do forget that they're quite lenient as leaders, but then you get this shocking counterexample. I like that the Galactica and its fleet are like a family. It clearly makes for more warm fuzzies. But, perhaps, it isn't as efficient. Who knows. However, at the end of the human race, extreme measures are necessary.
How cute are Adama and Roslin? However, SO SAD, cause she's all on the brink of death and stuff :( I really hope she doesn't die, though I can't see how they're going to get around that.
Has Dee randomly fallen in love with Lee while we weren't looking? That's a little confusing, and me no likey *frownyface*
I'm really starting to like Gaius. Sure, he's helping the cylons, but the show has succeeded in putting a human face on them to the point where we definitely sympathize with them. The broken Six was very heartbreaking. Though I'm confused as to how/why Gaius got rid of the Sexy!Six in his head. Was she an external consciousness? Was she just a part of his own head, and he's finally dispelled her? How did talking about the whole sports thing do that? color me confused. But Tricia Helfer and James callis are both impressing me a lot.
Grace Park is also getting to me as Boomer - I didn't really love her before, but she's started to hit some emotional chords. Like when she's being examined by the doctor, and then when she was telling Bill that maybe humans don't deserve to survive. Wow.
"Frak you."
"You're not my type."
HAHAHA. Only Six could say that.
I continue to be blown away by Kara and Lee's relationship. They're... really so wrapped up in each other. Platonically, sure, so far, but there's so much depth and genuine love there and I just... sigh. Lee's final thought before he was about to die? "I'm sorry Kara." Wow. And how he backs her up without question because it's Kara and that's what he does. And the whole trust thing, and the hug, and... I love them. Both.
Eeeeep. This SHOW. Takes my heart apart bit by bit. I love it so much.

long winded reply
Date: 2006-04-09 08:17 pm (UTC)I'd like to take this opportunity to point out that skinny girls' bellies pop out so fast when they get knocked up. Blood, other fluids and all the GI stuff makes you swell right away. Maybe skinny pregnant Cylons don't show. grrr
What was that sports thing about anyway?
I was so disturbed by the treatment of prisoners by the Pegasus staff.
KaraLee still keeps me up at night sometimes....

Date: 2006-04-10 02:31 am (UTC)Good point about Sharon! She looks *so* pregnant (not)
It will be interesting to see what further conflicts crop up between the Pegasus and Galactica people, because clearly Kane was not the only sticking point - the whole mindset on each ship is drastically different (an attestment to the power of a leader's example) and I don't see that being resolved any time soon.
KaraLee is love. :)
