Okay my flist is going crazy with all the posting, I CANNOT KEEP UP. So I decided to stop and make a post of my OWN, okay?

First of all, lost_witness found this freaking AWESOME interview with Kripke and Singer, and first let me repeat the quote she quoted. Kripke actually SAID THIS:

"And they really do love each other, they really did become brothers. I watch them at parties all the time. They're like, 'Hey, man,' watching each other and watching each other's back. You can't fake the camaraderie they have."

Um. Yeah, no words. He said "LOVE". HE DID. And the party thing! Who else thinks they're not-so-sneakily checking up on each other and sekritly communicating when they're going to sneak off to the bathroom together? \o/

And we believe that SOMEONE SHOULD WRITE JSQUARED FROM KRIPKE'S POV. For serious, y'all. I DOUBLE DARE YOU. Anyone that does gets my undying love and... cookies. DO IT FOR THE COOKIES. And the fangirls! *beams*

And finally, a small reaction post with some of my thoughts:

So a major point of divergence is obviously what John SAID to Dean. I've seen people thinking that it's simply "I made a deal, I'm sorry, I love you." Some simple message of goodbye, letting him know that he's going. But I really find that hard to believe. For one thing Dean wouldn't have just looked shocked, he would have started protesting and saying NO DAD you can't DO that. So. Dean's reaction says something else to me - I think that John told Dean the secret he knows about Sam. Which is why he prefaced it with "Take care of Sammy" because he knew what he was about to say would alter Dean's perception of Sam SO MUCH. A popular theory is that Sam isn't actually John's son, but maybe the demon's - that would make him 1) half-human, and 2) only Dean's half-brother. Which would kind of break my heart. But I am so intrigued to see where they go with that!

Sam's hair - I thought it was much much better now! LOL. But clearly that's not important. What IS important is that Jared fucking blew me AWAY. You go, kid! *squishes him*

Sam and Dean are ORPHANS. There's something about that word that just breaks my heart. They're all they have in the world now. Can you even imagine Sam leaving now? Not a snowball's chance in hell. Well, unless Dean gets really harsh and angry as a result, and pushes Sam away (in guilt? self-punishment? Oh Dean). Clearly that would never be permanent, but oh god. Boys, you need each other!

Something Kali (moonythestrals) pointed out to me: in Faith, Dean was wrecked with guilt about some random guy dying to save him. Can you IMAGINE what he's going to be like knowing that his FATHER sacrificed himself for Dean? He's going to be broken, guys. Shattered. *shivers* I so look forward to where Jensen's going to go with this, because he is AMAZING.

The Ouija scene is one of my favorites of EVER, now. The shot of them sitting across from each other, cross-legged like little kids. Sam's embarassment. Dean's skepticism and then wonder when it works. Sam's pure joy at communicating with Dean. "It hasn't been the same without you Dean." "Damn straight." I just... they are such *brothers*, even when one can't hear the other! Their connection is deep and real and so much more than anything else.

"It felt like... Dean." !!!!!!!!

"You look good! Considering!" Dean's pure joy at seeing Sam up and around. He completely forgets that he himself is lying there broken - Sam is intact and that's all that matters.

In the same vein, "My brother could die." (or something like that) The only reason he wants to live is to keep Sam safe. !!!!!! I mean.... COULD THEY LOVE EACH OTHER ANY MORE? I just keep resorting to caps because that's what this episode was, to a large extent - Sam. And. Dean. Love. Each. Other.

John's sacrifice - everyone has said it, but SCREW anyone who says John doesn't love his children. You can't say that any more, you just CAN'T. I think this was a perfect twist and it's going to send the brothers spiralling in a fascinating new direction. I'm sad, yes, because oh John, but it was such a good storytelling move, I'm really really excited for the rest of the season!!!!

Ouija scene is awesome, completely agreed. It definitely showed a wide variety of emotion. From trepidation to suspicion to skepticism to elation to just...aching to be with one another. Guh.

"You look good! *Several beats* Considering!" Was it just me, or there were a few too many beats in between "You look good!" and "Considering!"??? Yeah. Look of lurve in there, too. Oh so totally slashy. And I'm sure that isn't even the best moment of evar. Although, I'm sure you'll tell me when that is.
