I am so dismayed by how schizophrenic my flist is right now. There have been some COMPLETELY polar opposite opinions, and actually equal amounts of both kinds. It's... really disheartening. OMG FANDOM STAY SQUISHY AND FABULOUS PLEEEEEASE *CLINGS*

And on to my thoughts...

I actually honestly liked Jo this ep. I did! Not in an OMG YOU CAN HAVE DEAN way, but she definitely has potential. She got much more depth, and I admired how she handled herself in a crisis. However, I believe that final scene put the kibosh on seeing her for at least a while now. Which is fine by me. This was PLENTY time for her, now she can go off and brood and let the Wincestin continue, thanks very much.

DEAN'S RINGTONE!!! *giggles* How AWESOME. Anyone know what song it was?? So much better than the annoying trilling. And way more DEAN. I want the fic where Sam finally showed Dean how to fix that.

HowEVER. Where the fuck were Sam and Ash? *glowers at TV* I wanted to SEE Ash fold like a cheap suit! And Sam felt very much like The Sidekick, which, ew. If they ever bring Jo on more full time, I REALLY hope they work out that dynamic a WHOLE LOT BETTER, and give Dean and Sam some ALONE TIME, HELLO.

*breathes*

I definitely loved the development about John though. Now Dean has to grapple with this new flaw of John's (which is actually often a big problem after people die - you find out things you didnt really want to know, kinda tarnishes their memory) and it really complicates the whole Harvelles-Winchester dynamic. In fact, I'm impressed with Ellen for being so warm and receptive to the boys, when she had that under her hat the whole time.

Also? This ep was SCARY, yo! I was clutching at Kelly for like half of it. This show just DOESNT scare me, so that's sayin something. I think I was pre-prepped to be scared, though, because that trailer? Jesus effing Christ. That was more scary than the ep itself! So yeah. I was a bit silly, and it's not like I'm gonna have trouble sleeping. However, Holmes's disgusting rotting hand stroking Jo? *SHUDDERS*

Loved the cement truck. And y'know, Sam and Jo are cute together too. Which is why I think a THREESOME dynamic would work a fuckload better than the Dean/Jo and oh yeah there's this Sam guy too thing they had going on this episode. It really did feel like a different show. Dean and Sam's interactions are the whole POINT. And that was sorely missing this week.

But I will say it again. I like Jo. I do. I'm still slightly apprehensive about how they're gonna work her in further, but right now I am in a very zen place about it.

Next week looks FAB. :)

To be honest I'm glad I'm not all OMG!!!!CAPSLOCKY this week, because I need to write this organic chem lab report! *facepalm*

I totally agree on the scary aspect, it actually reminded me a lot of stuff done on The X-Files but still very creepy. And that was a good thing because the last episodes were rather low on the goosebump effect.

Dean's ringtone sounds like some cheap version of AC/DC's Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution ;)

Dean and Sam's interactions are the whole POINT. And that was sorely missing this week.
Same here, I missed my snarky boys ;D
As for Jo, ah, I think I can make my peace with her. She didn't annoy me BUT as you pointed out, they have to work on the 'threesome' because the character dynamic was quite unbalanced. At least next week looks great.
