This meme is such fun. Comment and I'll give you 3 interests on your list and 3 of your icons to explain.

jared's pink clothes - Jared always seems to be wearing these horrid pink button downs (occasionally joined by Jensen - see icon) with stripes or floral patterns or, on one memorable occasion, BOTH. One of the shirts even made its way into his character's wardrobe one time. Oh, Jared!

shoebox project - The Shoebox Project is a huge fanfic saga about the Marauder period - Harry Potter fandom, but pre-canon. It centers on Remus and Sirius and their friendship and how it very gradually morphs into something more. It's got fantastic illustrations by one of the authors, and basically I love it more than I love the Harry Potter novels themselves. It's hilarious and moving and just incredibly brilliant. "Oops - hello Moonytoes!"

puddlejumpers - Even though the puddlejumpers themselves are kinda clunky looking for cool spaceships (resembling, as one Joe Flanigan has said, nothing so much as a Winnebago) that NAME is simply the cutest and most hilarious thing ever. Yay for Shep!

Ohhh, Matt Saracen. He's a character from Friday Night Lights, and he's suddenly become QB1 (the starting quarterback) for his team, and it's such a huge burden for him to take on. He's got a lot of pressure on his shoulders for other reasons, too, and he's just the sweetest most woobietastic boy eer. I love him.

This was inspired by my desire to have an organic chemistry related icon because I'm a DORK like that, and also Dean Winchester's line "Demons I get. People are CRAZY." I actually think I said it in a conversation with my friend Erin, and I went "That NEEDS to be an icon". And so it was! \o/

Oooh, hottest threesome ever. Especially in [livejournal.com profile] mona1347's story Wildcat. The Winchesters plus Faith pretty much blow my mind. Mmph. This icon matches a header I had on my journal for a few months. Yummy!

rat intestines - Hee hee. I spent all last summer killing rats, taking out their intestines, dissecting a clean blood vessel from the tissue, and studying said blood vessel. Sounds lovely, right? I became more intimately acquainted with rat intestines than I ever thought to be. And it was actually quite fun!

his dark materials - Oh oh oh. One of my favorite book series of all time, by Philip Pullman. It's such a unique take on fantasy, very critical of organized religion, with vividly painted characters and worlds that you can't help but fall in love with. The end of the third book never fails to reduce me into wracking sobs for a good long time. I love Lyra and Will, the main characters, but I love even more the universe that Pullman paints around them. It's the book that grabs a hold of my heart and imagination and never lets go. The first book is being made into a movie right now, and it looks awesome - I hope it will truly be!

puddlejumpers - Heehee. See above!

HAHAHA. Oh JOHN! Oh RONON! This is one of my favorite scenes of ALL TIME from SGA. Ronon's teaching John a "traditional Satedan sport," claiming that it has to get more challenging after each round, but really he's trying to make John stupid :D They look so goofy and fabulous hopping on one foot, and then Ronon takes John OUT. It's brilliant and hilarious and I love my silly boys so much :D

Ohhh, Ianto. My second favorite character from Torchwood. I just adore this face he makes, and I love how the icon turned out. He and Jack are interrogating a victim here, and this is Ianto's face of "Oooh, that musta hurt". Hee!

NNNNGH JOE. Look how he's STANDING. His hip all shoved out to the side, his head dipped down to reveal that delicious neck, and it's just so graceful and PRETTY and alsogay. Augh I love him so much. *stares forever*

It's very interesting going through everyone's icons and seeing the similarities and overlaps. I think the last three people I've looked at have had an Obama '08 icon!

california pizza kitchen: best. pizza. ever. (http://www.cpk.com/)

four point orgy: Years ago, way back in the days of Harry Potter fandom, I started an Oliver Wood fan thread on the Fiction Alley message boards called "SHALLOW" (I'm not sure I even remember what the acronym was), and because Sean Biggerstaff was so v. pretty, it got a lot of attention and grew crazy popular for a good long while. A group of fourteen or so of us started chatting v. regularly on AIM, and eventually we because our own little fan bubble outside of SHALLOW. We all claimed to be different Hogwarts House types (since everyone was, of course, sorted into their own house), so our chats would rival between "Slytherin Orgy" to "Hufflepuff Orgy" to the rest depending on who started the chat room, so eventually we compromised with Four Point Orgy. Really, FPO was sort of like a mini-SPN fandom in its squeefulness at its peak. :O)

you got sine'd: my friend Sami, who is basically my brother in a not-wincesty way (or my sister, depending on who you ask -- different story for a different time), is very much a math person. But another friend and I convinced him to take Creative Writing with us, so he signed up and when he has to, writes only totally cracked out fiction. One he started (but never finished) a story that was mildly inspired by You Got Served and Step Up (though he's never seen the first one). It was about a kid named Skinny who blackmailed the dean of Princeton so he could get in (for whatever random reason) and it sort of left off there with promises of a totally badass dance-off later on. So, um. Yeah, I don't think I can really explain Sami properly.

one: This year, the aforementioned Friend, Sami, a bunch of other people and I decided to blow off the Homecoming Dance. Instead, we had a "Crock Pot Pot Luck Homecoming Croquet Alternative" party in an empty field next to a neighborhood grocery store. We actually did play croquet, and I got my ass kicked. \o/ A few people made a sign that said "Honk if you Love Croquet!" and then chased people down the street with it until someone finally honked. Good times.

two: I don't care for them much in winter, but in summer, I'm a very big fan of cherries. To an obsessive degree. I have away messages based around them. Also, it's totally a myth that tying a cherry stem in a knot with your tongue is difficult. (Or, mayhaps, I am just a h0r. Boy should be v. happy.)

three: From an episode of House. This guy wakes up after a ten year coma and sees an iPod for the first time. "Hey, what's this? It says ipp-odd on it."
