SPN 2x19 Folsom Prison Blues

I thought this episode was FABULOUS. It was my favorite blend of scare, drama, and funny. And of course, WINCHESTERS.

I love that Dean was all smirky while getting handcuffed. And that he did blue steel, which may or may not have been a send up of Jared doing that ALL THE BLOODY TIME :D:D And that he said "I think I'm adorable". So so many priceless Dean moments in this episode, which I'm not going to hit on because I have to write a goddamn lab report.

But what I REALLY wanted to say is that OMG DEACON IS SO SO SO MUCH LOVE. I am just HEAD OVER HEELS, guys. \o/ For, like, the first half of the episode I thought he was the cop from Nightshifter (who I also thought was friggen awesome) so I was SO CONFUSED about why they reused the actor in such a similar role so soon. But then I realized that I was wrong and I am stupid :P So ANYWAY, then he turned out to be DEACON and he was AWESOME and CUTE and ADORABLE and he looked so damn familiar and I couldn't figure it out! So I looked at the names listed in the credits at the beginning and looked them up - his name is Garwin Sanford, and he plays Simon, Elizabeth's fiance in Stargate Atlantis! :D I'm so dumb that I didn't realize that! But he also looked familiar when I saw SGA, and IMDB tells me that he played the coach in the Disney Channel movie Susie Q from the mid-90s, which I've seen like a dozen times - so THAT's why. Now my curiosity is satisfied! And I want Dean/Deacon fic or Deacon fic in general AND I want him back on the show SOON SOON SOON. Because I am in love the end. :D

ETA: Just rewatched the scene where we find out he's Deacon. aAskdjflsdkjf! he's so ADORABLE! He's really amused by Dean and Sam's arguing, with his crinkly eyed smiles, and calling Dean "son" and Sam "sweetheart" (hee!) and just in general being fucking awesome. *makes grabbyhands*

In general, such a gleeful hour of television. I am so so happy. YAY SHOW YAY. And the PREVIEW FOR NEXT WEEK?! lsdkfhaskldaguhweuhf. It's going to KILL US ALL.

I really loved it too especially because of Dean's interactions with pretty much everybody. Deacon(SPN)/Simon(SGA) also played Narim, one of the main Tollan people who had a crush on Sam in 3 episodes of SG-1. And the woman who played the ghost nurse in this episode is Andee Frizzell who plays the Wraith Hive Queens on Atlantis. It's too bad we never really got to know Caleb or Pastor Jim because so far I've REALLY loved John's friends particularly Bobby and now Deacon.

Also, YES, she definitely looked like a wraith, and not just because of the actress! I mean, she put her hand on people's chests to kill them, and the makeup was similar, and it was just creepy! Very cool!

I'm not entirely HEAD OVER HEELS (YET), but it's some highly entertaining television. I watched the last five episodes in a row, so they're kind of a blur, but one of these days I'll write something up on the AMAZING AWESOMENESS that is John Sheppard at the end of the season (three words: So long, Rodney). As far as the McShep goes, every time one of them gets hurt I just *heartclench* because their little FACES! But mainly the show had me hooked at PETER PAN EPISODE \o/ and dammit, now I want to meta and it's almost one in the morning. Eh. Maybe this weekend. Right now I just want to meet Ronon.

Oh SHEPPARD. I heart his woobie face SO MUCH. And the Peter Pan ep was so fucking CUTE. That kid, Keras? He had the most massive crush on John Sheppard EVER. It's hilarious and wonderful. And the two little ones that follow Rodney around KILL me. Heeee!

EVERYONE has massive crushes on Sheppard. Almost ascended alien priestess/goddesses have crushes on Sheppard. The man is Captain Kirk. No wonder Rodney never stood a chance.

Rodney and little kids is made of win. But now that scene just reminds me of how awesome Ford was with the kids and - Ford! I should mention now that I watched 2x01 just so I could finish The Siege, and aw, Ford, why you so evil?

Yay Ronon! I've read oodles and oodles of Ronon in fic but I haven't met him in canon yet. At least I've seen pictures. My image of Zelenka was horribly wrong. :D

Dude, Rodney stands a chance because he ISNT everyone else. Shep gets sick of all the random adoration just cause he's PRETTY. Rodney doesnt care about that crap, just lets loose on John, and John just takes it all in stride and shoots barbs back, and Rodney loves that John can do that, and THAT'S WHY THEY ARE PERFECT \o/

(also, ha ha, Rodney totally calls John Kirk later, if he hasn't already)

My best friend Michelle fell in love with Ford after the kids episode. I'm sad for her that Ford's gonna go all dark side :( I never cared about him in any intense way, so it didnt matter to me, but she's gonna be sad!

(I meant he never stood a chance at resisting a massive crush on John Sheppard, in case that wasn't clear.) You know what my favorite thing about Rodney is right now? He takes all the pain out of exposition. Either one of the lesser life-forms asks him to explain and he does - while whining about it, naturally - or one of the other scientists explains it and he corrects them while bitching about their stupidity. And then I sit back and go "Oh, Rodney - wait, was that exposition?"

Hee, Rodney's already called him Kirk two or three times.

Ford really reminds me of one of my friends, except for the military part and the going all dark side part. :( But his expressions and emotions are almost exactly the same, so I can't help but like Ford. I kind of hoped the writers were going to kill him off in a blaze of glory, but they reserved that for Grodin (I miss my vaguely-British informational voiceovers already! *pouts*).

I completely fell for Zelenka when he described Atlantis rising in Czech. It was adorable. ♥

OH! haha! I get it now, sorry! Yes, Rodney has no defenses against the Sheppard charm! But everything I said still holds as well :D

That is the joy that is Rodney. By all logic, his character should be tolerated at best, but NO. He's RODNEY and we LOVE him. It's all cause of David Hewlett's genius. He's truly one of the most entertaining people I've ever seen. You need to watch some interviews with him and read his blog, he's so warm and funny and intelligent. And he brings that all to Rodney, just in a different form but just as lovable! :D

Aww, Grodin was a cutie. He died well though. RIP Peter. :(

Ohhh Letters from Pegasus! Such a sweet episode. Made me get all weepy! Everyone was so priceless in that. Awww, Atlantis! *happy sigh*

Deacon was AWESOME! I sooo loved this episode for 12546 reasons. And yeah, next week might kill us. Then we'll all be revived so we can be killed again the following week. Three more episodes, right?

I loved both boys tonight, but maybe loved Dean a little more. He's such a goober and so adorable (and he knows it!) and he's still so in charge. Y'know? And poor Sammy was so freaked out (i think the word he used was "uncomfortable")! *loves loves loves*
