SN 2x20 What Is and What Should Never Be

Posting this without reading any other reaction posts, which I don't usually do, but I don't have TIME to get lost in y'all's flailing because OMG ORGO FINAL TOMORROW AFTERNOON *hyperventilates*


OH. OH MY GOD. HOW AMAZING WAS THIS EPISODE?!??? GAHHHHHHH!!

It was so bittersweet, every second of it! And then there were the just bitter parts, where SAM AND DEAN DON'T GET ALONG, and how heartbroken Dean was about that, and how earnest and eager to FIX things between them because that is SO IMPORTANT to him. And how Dean was so overjoyed to see Jess, because she represents Sam's happiness, and that is, again, WAY UP THERE on the importance scale. Like, number 1. And his shock and disbelief and then overjoyed love when he sees Mary.

The scene at Dad's grave was so perfect and heartbreaking. Two tear tracks!! Oh DEAN. *cuddles him* He's so ripped apart.

And you know, he was upset that the lives he'd saved were lost, but he was MORE upset at losing his relationship with Sammy. I think that was the biggest blow of alternaworld. Which, alskfnsdkjfnsdkf.

The parallel to the pilot?? OMG SO GOOD. Heeee! A bit anvilly, but EEEE! And then Sammy just comes with him, not knowing what he's getting into, and OMG OMG. "Jerk." "Dean..? Wha..?" "You're supposed to say bitch... nevermind." AW DEAN.

Dean's girlfriend was a chick from a BEER AD! That's... actually both incredibly heartbreaking, and rather perfect for us Wincesters, heh. There's no girl that Dean knows that he would imagine himself being happy with. NOT EVEN CASSIE! MWAHAHA. Though I suspect that's more Kripke & Co. recognizing that there would be fangirls out for BLOOD if they tried that. Lmao.

I'm really glad and relieved that Dean told Sam about what happened. There was some theorizing that he might keep it a SECRET, which, NO. That would have been really upsetting. And their talk about how they didn't get along... Sam's like "I thought it was supposed to be a perfect fantasy." (Translation: wouldn't we be married in your perfect fantasy?) And Dean, all emphatic, "It wasn't." and "You and I just never, uh... you know." And Sam being all "I'm glad we do."and they're such WINCHESTERS about it but there's SO MUCH EMOTION there and it's just THRUMMING with their love and OH OH I AM OVERWHELMED.

LASDKFJSLKDFHSKDJFHKSJDFHKDSJ THE PROMO THE PROMO THE PROMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And that's all I'll say in case someone doesn't want to be spoiled for it. But OMFG. OOOOOOMFG. IS IT NEXT THURSDAY YET?!??????

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I LOVE OUR SHOW TIMES A BILLIONTY!!!!!!

LYNRND SKYNRD!!! I thought of you IMMEDIATELY as soon as I heard the first strains of it.

I loved every minute of this episode. But the final part between the two of them. Sam is so genuinely concerned for Dean and CAN NOT understand how it was a perfect world if they didn't get along. SO MUCH LOVE.
