So is this what it's like to be a grownup? Landlord kerfluffles, annoyed bosses, and paying a million dollars for gas?

So I called my landlord to check that it was okay that I move in on Sunday so I can start work on Tuesday. Instead, he starts in on a story about how one of the workers he hired stole a microwave and TV from the apartment I'm going to be moving into, so he doesn't want me moving in until he can get the locks changed, which *apparently* isn't until Thursday (why it's taking so long, I have no idea). So I called my boss with the bad news, and he did not sound happy, especially with the landlord, saying that changing the locks should only take an hour, what the hell! And getting kinda pissy. So now I have to try to find a couch to crash on for a few days until the stupid fucking locks are changed, and I'm pissed because it was going to work perfectly with my dad moving me in on Memorial Day weekend and all was gonna be fine and dandy. And my landlord didn't even APOLOGIZE. He did not ONCE say "I'm sorry for royally fucking you over!"

*headdesk headdesk*

I'm going to go back to watching Stargate Atlantis and hiding away from stupid real life.

Did you sign a lease? If you did than it's his responsibility to have your apartment ready for you on the day you're supposed to move in. Call him back and tell him to get his ass over there and get it done! Also, he owes you money if you paid for those days.

Ignore my bitchiness, landlords who try to screw you over is a sore spot lately.

*actually*, my lease doesn't technically start until June 1st, he was really letting me move in a little early, so I don't have a leg to stand on in that respect :-/ It just irks me, and my boss, 's all. Blah.

Talk about paying a million dollars for gas. Lately the gas prices have spiked so much over here, it's getting ridiculous. >.< So far I still refuse to pay over €1.40 per litre, but if they don't let up soon my Lady may run dry before I give in. *headdesks*

If it didn't come with its perks (sex! cars! alcohol!), I'd never grow up. *wanders off to play peter pan*
