exsequarHoly shit this movie ROcKED MY SOcKS! (I'm going to leave the lower case c's to remind me how stupid I was to break the c key by dripping water on it. By accident, but still. Dumbass *headdesk*)
I. Love. Ewan. Holy. fuck. He got a little spastic at some points, lol, but soo sexy and soo charismatic. My brother came into the room briefly, saw Ewan's long blonde hair, laughed and said "he looked so stupid!" I got kinda mad because I actually find the hair really hot. The long brown hair was verging on a mullet, but I still thought it was really sexy. When the short pieces would fall into his eyes? Guh. And when he KISSED Jonathan?? Phew! *fans self* That was so hot, and beautiful. And then I really really loved the ending, when he was just sorta mellow and nostalgic and beautiful, talking to Arthur, and it was lovely. Just lovely.
And then there's christian Bale (Arthur). Someone (SAS!) said that he wasn't that attractive in this movie, but I am going to have to disagree HEARTILY. When he was a teenager struggling with his attraction for men and screaming for Brian Slade, I thought he was simply adorable, with the floppy hair and everything. christian just has this depth to him, even when he's got lipstick on ^_^ And then when he was the adult, in the present day parts, he was just fucking sexy. Again with the bits of hair falling in his eyes (wow. i think i have a fetish :P) and the chiselled features. I really love him. A lot.
Throughout the movie I was trying to figure out how on earth Arthur and curt Wilde were ever going to have sex, because I knew christian and ewan had a sex scene together, but then it happened and I was happy. Even though the actual sex was from really far away *pouts* But I loved the flirting with the eyes in the club beforehand, and the whole thing was just really sweet. And then at the end when they showed the flashback home video style of curt and arthur (and brian? or was that a different time? i was a little confused) just goofing off, it really made me happy, and a little sad they didnt spend more time on them together :P
Now for Brian. I liked him. He seemed the most....... human? Or more accessible than curt, who was just a crazy man. :) Jonathan Rhys-Meyers truly has a beautiful face (especially the eyes, which are just so... deep, they smolder, and guh) but I didn't like the short haircut. Or the really long one for that matter. I dont know, the hair just didnt work for me, but I liked him a lot anyways. It seemed like the movie was really about him, but Ewan is listed first in the credits. Huh. Interesting. I suppose Ewan is the bigger name.
As for the movie ITSELF (getting away from the incredibly sexy trio of stars, even though it's difficult :P) I was a liiiiittle bit lost at points with the plot. Like. Who had the green stone thingy when? Who the heck is that Jack guy and what is his role? He kisses Brian once, and sings a couple songs, and I think pairs up with curt to perform at some point? But he never, like, said anything, and I was confused. Especially because the movie, like, started focusing on him. And then the timeline jumped about sometimes. The one part I was really really confused about was when Brian had the shortER hair (down to his chin, and all like, curly) and he comes in to that club (type place.. i dont know) where he meets Mandy but it's AFTER he's had his big break, so he's supposedly famous, but no one recognizes him? And then this Jack guy again, who just confuses me.
Also, Shannon? Was she just a manipulative bitch? Or... uh buh? I didn't get her character really at all. *shrug*

OH. One of my favorite images. Ewan WRAPPED around Jonathan. It's so... SENSUAL. And Jonathan has a really lovely ass O.O And it's just really really nice. Mmmm.
Toni collette reminds me of Angelina Jolie, forcefully. It's the lips, mostly... they're not quite as HUGE as Angelina's (whose are?) but they have the same puffy quality and the prominent lines on them. Uh, moving on.
I really really really liked it. I'm going to have to watch it again... and again... and again. Hopefully I'll understand the plot more after repeated viewings.
In conclusion, I love boykissing. I wish there was more of it around to feast my eyes on ^_^

My thoughts are all scrambled... There's so much I can say about this movie. :)

Ewan... man. I really need to see more of his movies now. He is so impressive. :)
And go ahead, say anything you want, I havent gotten the chance to really talk to anyone about the movie yet! Oh man so good.

The green stone was Oscar Wildes who passed it to jack fairy to then gave it to Brian at the christmas party where he met his wife. Obviously Brian then gave it to Kurt who gave it to... BINGO. ARTHUR (who I want to keep in a box and cuddle.)
We need to think of plot bunnies. I've been itching to write a VG fanfic.
And I just saw Total Eclipse. LOTS of boy kissing and thewlis!nakedness huzzah!

I'm so glad you all made me see this movie, it was SO GOOD. And if you write VG fanfic i will TOTALLY beta it. AAAAAHHHH have you read the Remus/Sirius fic based strongly on VG?? Like they're Brian Slade fangirls??? It's long and SO FUcKING AMAZING. Just look up Fairy Boys at fanfiction.net. Trust me, definitely worth a read. I loved it even when I hadn't seen the movie, and now I might reread it because I will appreciate it so much better.
