Yay! I just received the Stargate Atlantis novel that I ordered from Amazon, "Reliquary," on many recommendations and the tip that it is FULL of McShep. Gleefully, I opened it to a random page and read in the middle of it. This is what I found (roughly paraphrased):

Rodney: "Oh stop it, you know if things were reversed you wouldn't stop trying until you saved me or you were dead, so quit arguing!"
John was oddly touched... etc. etc.

Okay, VERY roughly paraphrased, I swear the writing is far better than that, but guys. TOUCHED. ON A RANDOM PARAGRAPH ON A RANDOM PAGE.

I'm going to love this book *beams*

HEE! There are multiple novels - this is the best, or so I've heard, but there's one other super awesome one. This is called "Reliquary" and John and Rodney are featured largest on the cover :D:D

DUDE. How did you stall out on S3?? It's amazing! I really enjoy The Ark, The Game is very McSheppy (though not great overall), Vengeance is an awesome episode, and I LOVE First Strike. *shoos you* Keep going!!!

So Stargate Atlantis is about these two men, completely different but perfect for each other, who fall in love...

Oh wait, no, that's just the not-so-subtexty version of the show. MY BAD! :D

SGA is a spin off from the show Stargate SG-1, in which the military on Earth has found this device called a stargate through which they can travel to any other stargate in the galaxy. These gates were set up by the "Ancients," the first evolution of the human form on Earth, who were far more technologically advanced than we are. In SGA, they've found the address to what they think is the lost city of Atlantis, which is actually an Ancient city that actually flew off our planet thousands and thousands of years ago and settled far away in the Pegasus galaxy. So an expedition is sent to explore Atlantis and Pegasus, to learn what they can. In this shiny new galaxy, they run into trouble - the Wraith! Suddenly they're embroiled in a war for species survival, and they have to fly by the seat of their pants. The show centers around Major John Sheppard and his motley crew, and all the wild and wacky adventures they get up to in the Pegasus galaxy. It's wonderful, it's fun, it's HILARIOUS, and trust me when I say that John Sheppard and Rodney McKay elevate what could be a silly farce to an epic joyful event. Both individually and separately. They're both completely unique characters, quirky and completely lovable, and they have the most sparkling chemistry you'll ever see!

That's "Reliquary", right? It's definitely the most McSheppy of the ones I've read, but there were a couple of others that were quite good too. And one that was definitely not.
