I SAW FALL OUT BOY!!!!!!!!!!
*collapses on the floor with bliss*
They were... amazing. Incredible, orgasmic, fantastic, brilliant, glorious, AMAZING. *squees into fists and twirls in a circle* I just. They. OH MY GOD. I sang my lungs out to EVERY SINGLE SONG, danced and jumped my legs off, flailed around.... I can't remember the last time I was that HAPPY. I was just. Completely swept away. They have such energy and charisma and of course I love EVERY SINGLE SONG and and and *flailyflailflail*
(I forgot my camera because I AM AN IDIOT, so I don't have pictures to share, sadly. Sigh. If you see anyone on your flist post pictures from this tour, could you maybe link me? That would be awesome.)
Pete Wentz is gorgeous and incredible. The show opened with a video in which he told the audience about Invisible Children, the campaign for awareness and aid for the children suffering and dying in Uganda, and in that moment I FELL IN LOVE. YAY PETE OMG. And and he wore his hoodie up and then took it off for the last song and was inappropriately touchy with Patrick several times which gave me JOY and and and EEEEEEEEEEEE.
I fail at coherence. Um. I LOVED THIS SHOW AND I WANT TO SEE THEM AGAIN A BILLIONTY TIMES.
There were some other awesome bands on the tour with them too! I really enjoyed Cobra Starship especially, and I liked The Academy Is... too. Anyone got any of their music they could upload for me? :) +44 was there and they were okay, and also some rapper, Paul Wall... Rob and I went and sat outside for that one, lol. But yeah so I didn't realize how many acts there would be before FOB, but they were fun anyway so that was cool!
The joy was somewhat squashed by coming home with Rob to find that I had accidentally locked my bedroom door and did not have a key. So I slept on the couch, in one of my new FOB tshirts, and Rob slept on the other bed in the house without a blanket or anything. Then this morning I was woken up at 6:30 by my landlord and workers clomping up and down the stairs to work on the upstairs apartment. Then I was woken AGAIN at 8:30 by the doorbell - it was a guy from Comcast. I was confused because I hadn't set up an appointment, but I had called Comcast several times so I assumed one of the reps had done it for me. He poked around at all the wires and everything, and finally I looked at his little appointment sheet and saw that the name on it was "Linda Davis", CLEARLY not my name, so apparently they put the wrong address *facepalm* The guy was like, oh, sorry, bye!... and then I went back to sleep. I then called a locksmith and he came and opened the door and made me some keys. For $75. I wanted to cry. It was miserable.
But now I have clothes, a Rob, and internet for now (we're chillin on campus), I'm caught up on a couple flist filters, I just recieved my paycheck for half my summer salary (aka, A LOT), and I SAW FALL OUT BOY!!!!!!!!
So life isn't a complete loss :)

Date: 2007-06-06 03:45 pm (UTC)They are insanely popular in the U.K. too. Saw their videos there - Yes, in the U.K., they actually play music videos unlike stupid MTV OR VH1 here.
Sounds like you are well....except for the locksmith thing. Too bad Sam couldn't have shown up to pick the lock for you *g*
