ALSO, just to put my two cents in on the whole new song thing, I LOVE IT. I keep playing it over and over. It's so catchy and cute and fun and there is plinky piano and JWalk being a hotass and REALLY into the song and there's Brendon's VOICE and, oh yeah, THE THREE OF THEM SINGING ACAPELLA HARMONIES. *dies and is dead* I love it, so freaking much guys. Is it 2008 yet? No? Now? *makes gimmehands at new album*

BEST PICTURE IN THE WORLD EVER! Nothing more can be said after that. I'm constantly stumped over how adorable they are. And in my mind, they're holding hands. Just so you know.

I approve of the new song a lot. It's fun and lovely and they make it work. Brendon's voice and Ryan's at the end, the piano, everything works. I love it. Plus, with the whole back where they began thing, it makes my heart jump a little, it sounds like it's about their home.

Have you read the new MTV article? I like where they're at right now. It seems like a good place for them, so I'm happy.

I was pretty fucking pissed at some of the comments in their community (OMGlikeeleventy it does not take a whole year to write an album) and hey! I can't wait to see what they come up with because I'm convinced it's going to be amazing, but being mad at the band for trying to write something they think is good instead of catering to the fans? It's not right. I'm a big Oasis fan, and I have to wonder if the band is going to stick together long enough to write the next album, so maybe I'm biased, ha!

I admire them so much. I think I forget sometimes that they are our age, because they are incredible musicians. I love how much they've accomplished.

I largely ignore the bulk of the fans in this fandom, honestly. Far too many of them are twelve or act like it. I have been comfortably navigating, finding like-minded fans, and I'm cool with that. I know people are retarded, and I hate that people SAY things like that about my darling boys, but I choose to not let it ruffle me.

I forget sometimes, but then Ryan will look fifteen and I'm like, wow. He would have been in my grade in high school. It's kind of amazing.

Did you read it? What did you think? I'm glad they're taking the time to work on the album the way they want to.

I think my thing is I don't know many people in the fandom, and the ones I do know are all amazing, articulate people, and I'm happy in my little corner of the world. So when I read some of the comments it's with a sense of 'Is this person for real?' and I just ignore it because I'm never going to share their point of view, so it's a waste of energy. And I need that energy to squee over the boys, right?

It's incredible how young they are. And I love them so much for it. So Jon would have in my grade. Oh, to have lived in Chicago!
