Hahaha, wow, this is kind of awesome. I had heard tell of Pete Wentz and Ryan Ross's first online conversation, but I'd never actually read it. Now I finally stumbled on it! It's pretty much fantastic. Ryan calls Brendon "dead sexy" (oh, darling) and Pete is vaguely pedophiliac (Ryan Ross (7:48:57 PM): we look young Pete Wentz (7:49:42 PM): Youngs not abd at all) and Ryan is admirably articulate and calm, even though you KNOW he must have been freaking the fuck OUT. It's pretty obvious he knows what the hell he's talking about, musically, and I think that must have played a part in Pete's decision to come see them. RYAN ROSS FOR THE WIN! \o/

I also stumbled a very incomplete account of Ryan's old LJ entries, apparently for some fic timeline purposes, and it's got some absolute gems in it, like this one:

-Dec 20th - Ryan gets back from visiting FOB in LA : "los angeles was good.
life aquatic was good. mansoup was good. my updates suck because i have to
keep my mouth shut."

AHAHAHA MANSOUP. Mansoup, for the uninitiated, refers to all (or most) of Panic! and FOB getting into a hot tub together, "mostly naked" according to one Brendon Urie. I think that's the best thing I've ever heard in my whole life. Ryan must have been so giddy to have an injoke with fucking Fall Out Boy to post about. God. I love that precious little boy!!!

But I would love to read the REST of his entries, as well as Brendon's, so if anyone knows where I can find an archive of each of their old LJs, I'd really appreciate it!

Have you, by chance, ever read the incredibly stalkerish comments Ryan used to leave Jac in her LJ? Because - that's probably the creepiest chapter in Ryan's short stint with LiveJournal. And it's hilarious. :D

I see that you've been linked to the archives, but I am SO SAD that it only has about the last year of Ryan's lj, which he kept for years. A friend of mine was able to read it all before it was deleted last June, and she said that it dealt more with his family life and his dog (he adopted her from the pound where he volunteered, because she had big issues and on one loved her, even though his father did not approve) and mentioned a random kiss with Spencer - Ryan thought that was really cool that they were such good friends that they could just mess around like that. It is my favorite bit of nebulous canon!

Ryan calling himself and Spencer "little girls" is the best thing I've ever read. And where is the story of all the sex he and Brendon had in the practice studio, huh? Didn't Ryan mention all the good sex (he had with Brendon)? It's good for them that Brendon approved of oral already, right?

OH, PETE! How does he come across as endearing and creepy at the same time? ILOVEHIM! And within a month of meeting Pete, Brendon was recording his voice in "From Under the Cork Tree". Ryan includes a line in the December 20th entry "I keep telling myself I'm not the desperate type" <- with worse punctuation and lack of capital letters, I think.

In conclusion, they are THE BEST BOYS EVER!

Hi, I'm random, but I was friendspage hopping, so. Friend of a friend!

I can't resist talking about Ryan's old LJ entries though. That's probably why I love him as much as I do. His brain is this really horrible place, and he writes all these sad things and angry things, but then he goes and jokes with Brendon or adopts a puppy. I really wish ljseek went back more than it does, it's really aggravating reading the same things over and over when I know there are stories about him and Spencer and his school and his dad and everything that makes him the way he is now.

Also, I hope you don't mind the random person stealing that Pete/Ryan convo link and saving it. I saw it months and months ago and for some reason didn't save it anywhere, at all. So thank you for linking again! It's so creepy and endearing at the same time. I love everything about it, from Ryan making sure it actually is Pete, to being so cool and calm, to Pete asking if they're hot. Really, Pete? Really? Alright, cool, if it gets Ryan to say that Brendon's hot, I'm not complaining.

Eeeeee, I've read the archives of their LJs a lot *ahem* and when I first got into Panic! I read Ryan's LJ cuz it still existed, but I hadn't seen the Pete convo and like, some of the links in these comments (yes I'm stalking haha) BRENDON! AHAHAHA!
