So me and the roomies threw an awesome halloween party last night, and it was a total blast! Most of the other people from the Butler program came (about 5 people - Emily and Cary punked out, whatever) and, the cherry on top, Colin came and brought Barry and Andy. AWESOME. Barry and Andy are two of my favorites of the sci fi guys, they're so funny and wonderful. And of course the guys brought their own beer because no way could our planning support their alcoholism, particularly Barry ;)
So basically the boys mixed things up really well, cause when it's just the American girls it's a little boring, but they were hilarious and goofy and a bit over the top and that kind of loosened everyone up. Well, the alcohol helped, but you know :) We watched Nightmare Before Christmas and ate rice crispie treats and cadbury chocolates. Everyone was silly and lovely and I spent the night on Colin's lap, haha. Andy and Rachel hit it off, and while they'd be quite cute I'm reacting with a bit of possessiveness and "My boys! My boys!" because I really am the only girl that hangs out with them, but, you know, it's not my place and if they get together then I'll just have to deal with it :P
I have a few mysterious bruises on my left leg this morning - I didn't think I was drunk enough to be taken advantage of! *g* I really am curious where the hell they came from, although it was most likely just in the course of my stumbling from living room to kitchen to get more alcohol, or flailing when Colin tickled me (as he has grown extremely fond of, dammit). Oh well, small price to pay for a totally awesome night. We were worried that our little house party would be lame, but it ended up being a blast. My roomies keep saying how "nice" Andy was, which makes me laugh because usually he's a rough edged, foul mouthed bastard, but he's still a sweetheart in a way only Andy can be. But he was really on his best behavior last night, though he and I shared several emphatic "Fuck YOU!"s, which was pretty hilarious. Oh Andy. And Barry was just precious and sweet and a bit goofy. Loooove Barry. And the roommates fully approve of Colin! Hee! \o/ Rachel might have actually gotten pictures of us, so I'm gonna see if I can get my hands on them.
The boys had a bit of fun telling stories of things I did on Thursday when I was really drunk at Doyle's, and to my great shame I don't remember any of it. I mean, I have little blurry flashes in my memory but that is really it. Ack. *hides face* Like, apparently I tried to steal Bren's Guinness every time he looked away, thinking I was being really sneaky only I wasn't at all. Heee. Oh man. Ireland, what have you done to me??
Today is a "bank holiday", which translates into NO LECTURES YAYE. I woke up around noon, have eaten breakfast and drank tea, and now I have to be productive! *resolve face* I have three lab reports to write, one for tomorrow and one for Thursday and one for Friday, so I need, NEED to get my ass moving on those. *shakes self* I was supposed to be productive all weekend, but I stayed with Colin both Friday and Saturday nights, and let me tell you, NOT conducive to productivity :P Colin could have stayed here last night, but I knew I needed to get stuff done today, so that wasn't a good idea. Man, do you all remember when I was a stellar student? Responsible, timely, always getting shit done and getting it done well? Yeah, um. It's amazing how much having a social life and a boyfriend cuts into that :P It's probably a really good thing my grades here don't count for my GPA at home. I assumed that wouldn't matter for me because I'd do well here anyway, but I'm starting to have my doubts, heh.
Night before last was daylight savings time for us, so now we're only 4 hours ahead of the East Coast. I assume you guys have it some time soon? My dad wasn't sure, it's so confusing.
Anyway, that's enough rambling from me! Toodles!
ETA:

Andy and Barry getting up close and personal :D I'd like to state for the record that I didn't take this picture nor did I instigate the fun almost kissing! I was simply a gleeful observer! HEAARTS. I do not yet have any pictures of Colin, sorry!
