exsequarA meme, for fun! The assignment is to list 10 fictional characters you would have sex with and why, and then tag 5 friends! *rubs hands* This should be funnnn, even if people won't recognize half of the characters...
The abridged version of my list, in no order of preference (just names):
1. Afra Lyon
2. Aragorn
3. Christian
4. al'Lan Mandragoran
5. Brian
6. F'nor
7. Dirk Pitt
8. Mulder
9. Young Sirius Black
10. Mal Reynolds
In no particular order, just as they came to my mind:
1. Afra Lyon, from the Rowan series by Anne McCaffrey
Why? I really don't know why. He's quiet and strong and patient and sweet and thoughtful and (in my mind) handsome (even with the green tinged skin... don't ask). Oh, and, he actually marries a girl 25 years younger than him, so I figure I definitely have a chance :D He's not perverted, it's just one of those true love knows no boundaries kind of things. Umm. Yeah. He's awesome, honest.
2. Aragorn, from Lord of the Rings of course.
Why? I was in love with the character of Aragorn from the first time I read the books 6 years ago. He's strong, resourceful, loyal, brave, and who cares if he has hygenic issues? Arwen doesn't seem to mind ^_^
3. Christian, from Moulin Rouge
Why? Because there has to be at least one Ewan on here! *grins* But really, who wouldn't love him? Just, watch the movie please. Who could blame Satine for falling completely head over heels?
4. Lan (al'Lan Mandragoran), from the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan.
Why? Even though Lan is a relatively minor character in the books, and is described as looking more like a walking rock than a human, he's always stood out to me (far above Rand, Mat, and Perrin, who are entertaining but not sexy) and I always got excited when he was around. He's extremely loyal (um, well, I guess... shit what are they called? Warders? *looks it up* yeah that's right *phew* and I just found out that...! Well, I'll talk about that at the end of this entry. Anyway, all Warders are. But that's not the point.) He's also got a heart under all that, for he falls in love with Nynaeve and it's beautiful. I have no idea why I like him so much, you know?
5. Brian Kinney! from Queer as Folk as if you didn't know that ^_^
Why? Because he's fucking hot, that's why. I mean I know there's the annoying complication of his being gay, and um 34 ish? But hey. This meme didn't say I had to be realistic :)
6. F'nor, from the Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey.
Why? Another one that I can't really explain. He's not even a main character (I tend to gravitate towards somewhat minor characters, in books at least). He's Second to F'lar's First, but he always stands out to me. He's got a sense of humor, and um in my head he's sexy ^_^ I honestly read the books so long ago it's hard to remember why I liked him so much. But I do!
7. Dirk Pitt, from almost all of Clive Cussler's books.
Why? He's the quintessential dashing hero! He's handsome, brave, charming, compassionate, and just all around awesome. He looks nothing like Matthew Mcconaughey (who did a very good job, in terms of acting, but *looks* nothing like Dirk). He saves the world on lots and lots of occasions. He's got pretty green eyes. He has a collection of 50 incredibly sexy antique cars holed up in what looks on the outside like an abandoned aircraft hangar. He defines awesome. Oh yes, I would do Dirk.
8. Mulder, from The X-Files
Why? He's Mulder! Although I'd certainly let Scully have him, I'd just like a little roll in the sack first *grins* I don't know, he's just... Mulder, ya know?
(Why am I having such a hard time with this? Umm... two more...)
9. Young Sirius, from Harry Potter
Why? Well, the young Sirius I've got in my head is gorgeous, charming, playful, witty, exciting, dashing, and just so knock-you-off-your-feet amazing that who WOULDN'T want to sleep with him? The fact that the Sirius in my head is gay is irrelevent. We can say he's bi. Remus can have him after I do :P
(Does the Ewan from fanfic count as a fictional character? cause he certainly doesn't behave like the real Ewan :P No? Fine then. Hmmmm, one more! *ponders* I would say Angel or Spike, but they're VAMPIRES, and wouldn't they be kinda cold?)
10. Alright. Mal Reynolds, from Firefly
Why? I've only seen 5 eps of this show, but already I'm in love with Mal. He reminds me *strongly* of Brian, if a bit goofier. He's hot in a rugged sort of way, and he's just totally fearless and gutsy and silly at the same time. He's awesome. Oh, I'd also do Jayne, but not as much as Mal.

That was surprisingly difficult! I would have thought I wouldn't be able to come with enough. Hm. Oh well. I got a nice list there :)
Now about Wheel of Time, I just found out that the ELEVENTH book (the eleventh book over 600 pages I might add... jesus) is coming out on October 11th! I had no idea! Huh. And apparently it's the second to last, which is amazing and like, really surprising. I thought it would never come to an end! But that indicates that Jordan actually DOES have a plan, and isn't just ambling around, delaying so that he can write more books and thus sell more, keeping us all dangling until he dies :P I mean that was the case with the last two books, but maybe this one will have more purpose. Apparently it's called Knife of Dreams. Pretty sweet. More Tel'aran'rhiod is a good thing, that's such an awesome concept. But... since i had to look up the spelling of that, and also make sure that I had the term WARDERS right, I think I might just have to reread the entire series before picking it up again. What i might do is wait until I hear that the 12th is coming out, then start reading from book one and I'll finish the eleventh in time for the twelfth (god I must be tired, I tried spelling that "twelveth"). Yes. Good plan. Glad that's sorted.
Umm, I'm tired. Having fun at my cousins'. Still enjoying Firefly greatly. I WANT HBP.
