I have a great desire for Mikeyway fics. I actually have a hankering for some good Mikey/Frank, but I'd also love some gen (or other pairing, Frank/Gerard perhaps) with awesome Mikey&Gerard stuff. So, my dear flist, if you have anything meeting the Mikeyway requirement, or know where I should look to find some, please link me! I wants, I wants a lot :)

I watched the last 20 minutes of the LOTMS documentary today. Alksjdlfksjd THEM. The very last bit, when they get the gold records, actually makes me CRY. I had tears, guys! Actual tears! First you have Gee and Mikey's precious hug, and then shellshocked Frankie who can't even move until Gerard puts his arm around him (the way Frank's nose presses into the side of Gee's head... sdflkjsldf MY HEART), and GROUP HUG, and oh my favorite favorite is Mikey Way who half laughs, half sobs, and looks so fucking happy. It's that moment that sets me off. Then there's Gee and Brian gleefully hugging each other during the photo op, and Gee's earnest speech about Reprise making his band the most "dangerous rock band," ahaha, OH GEE ILU. And Ray frantically looking for his phone! And oh oh THEM. I love them SO MUCH.

I found the MCR 2008 calendar in Tower Records today. OMGSOPRETTY. It has my favorite picture of Frankie!!! *points at icon* I was SO TEMPTED, but it was 12 Euro and I'd already spent too much money today (and, you know, in general) so I RESISTED and decided to ask for it for Christmas. SO PRETTY.

Uh, I think I had another point to this post. *thinkyface* Well, I guess not! Just moar MCR! SORRY. I'm, uh, really obsessed.

Oh I don't doubt it. I don't listen to much MCR at all, but I think he had been involved in the cd made about Neil Gaiman. Tori Amos and a number of other people were involved as well. :-)

Death, the female, anthropomorphic vision of Death in DC/Vertigo comics, said that in the first trade paperback, I think :-P. Though I don't listen to his music (not a fan honestly), I'm VERY pleased he'd be geeky enough to quote it (if it was intentional). :-P Geeks unite!

I'm pretty much 100% positive it was intentional. Gerard is the epitome of geek - he spent his childhood holed up in his basement drawing comics, then became a comic artist but dropped it to start a band. He's always kept drawing though, and his obsession with comics and all related things is well known :) Just this month a comic he wrote, The Umbrella Academy, got published! Gerard is, like, the posterboy for geek, if you get to know him at all :D

There's love for Mikey! There's lots of love for Mikey! Not so much for Pete/Mikey. It seemed like all I ever read were angsty Pete/Mikey fics and in the interest of my own heart, I had to stop reading them. And since that seems to be the most popular Mikey pairing...

OMG I love that you're finally discovering the MikeyWay love because he is my FAVOURITE right now and I love him. That is SO amazing that you got to see him close in concert and omg I never commented but YOU MET GERARD WAY, I'm never getting over how amazing that was. I'm so jealous and happy for you omg! It's totally okay to be obsessed with MCR because that is what happened to me too and I HAVE NO IDEA HOW, they just suck you in and make you fall for them HARD. I LOVE LOTMS and seriously the DVD makes you fall in love with them MORE if that is even possible. ♥

OKAY, Mikeyway recs!! Pete/Mikey is sooo my OTP in fic right now so yeah if you want some recs, I could rec you some fic?

Firstly have you checked out this post for Mikeyway recs? (There's a link there to 'Everday Mysteries in the Summertime' which is a good Pete/Mikey AU if you want to check it out!)

I totally recommend White Rabbits (Or: Five Stories about Gerard and not Mikey Way) for awesome Mikey&Gerard gen.

And just in case you HAVEN'T read this but this is the most awesome MCR fic EVER: The Holly Golightly Club which is a High School AU.
The author also wrote this awesome Mikeway birthday ficlet . There needs to be more gen Mikey&Gerard fic!

The Year of Living Safely . I really like this, it's about Gerard getting through his sobriety and Mikey having a breakdown in the Paramour house and I really like their relationship in this.

This is a long Frank/Mikey: Scenes from a Bus by arsenicjade. She writes good MikeyWay and if you haven't already read it you should read 'Home is a Name'. Also 'A Place to Rest' is one of my favourites. I think there's a link on the MikeyWay recs list.

Okay these are my two favourite Pete/Mikey fics at the moment:
The Moment I Met You and Summer Into Dust . Both of them are by opensound.

I feel so lame cause at first I was like "Mikeyway, whatever, he's kind of weird and I just want to stare at Frank kthx" but now I just CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF HIS PRECIOUSNESS. (sdflksjdlf I MET GERARD WAY. That sentence marches through my head about 10 times a day, hahaha) I don't think it's possible to love MCR passively - you fall and you are just GONE. I mean. I only started listening to their music in December, and only got interested in the guys about two or three months ago, and I FLEW TO LONDON to see them play. !!! I would never have DREAMED of doing that for any band, you know? And I did! And it was absolutely worth it! MCR wins at life, srsly. YAY.

Ooooh, YAY RECS. I'm a bit wary of Pete/Mikey but I'll definitely give good ones a try! I've read Holly Golightly (SO GOOD) and The Year of Living Safely (MY HEART) but yay thank you so much for these recs!! You should not feel lame because I was the same way too. I think I fell in love with Frank and then Gerard and it wasn't until I watched LOTMS that I suddenly got the Mikeyway love. ugh YES HE IS SO PRECIOUS and just I love everything about him even his dorky glasses stage and I love how everyone is like Mikey is SO HOT now which HE IS but he was pretty all along. Also he has a hot wife and got through a nervous breakdown and dresses up his cats and wears band t-shirts and JUST OMG HEART. gahh that is so amazing that you flew all that way to see them and it sounded like an incredible concert so it was so worth all the stress you went through organizing it. YAY. ALSO I am going to see them in THREE DAYS SO YES I'M REALLY EXCITED.

hmm well I was that way too because I was all about the Frank/Gerard at first but Pete/Mikey REALLY sucks you in. ;D Just try it! Also the Pete/Mikey in Holly Golightly is one of my FAVOURITES. They are kind of my OTP (which so makes sense) and it is sad that there are so few pictures of them. Oh I have not read the Panic! part of Scenes on a Bus, is that the Ryan/Brendon part? Okay, let me talk about the gold record scene. I could watch it over and over again. It makes my heart clench unbelievably. Frankie has tears in his eyes! Mikey and his speechlessness!
