Ewan stuff, and Velvet Goldmine picspam!

Also, if you haven't checked out celebs_on_crack, you totally should. It's a RPG with people playing various celebs, and Ewan is one of the most active. He's shagging Hayden, thinks Tom cruise is crazy, and has a domineering wife *grins* It's incredibly amusing, I highly recommend it.

Now to what was going to be just a couple of pictures but turned into a spam of Ewan caps from Velvet Goldmine, one of my favorite movies. All caps are taken and touched up in Photoshop by me. I just ask, absolutely NO hotlinking, because my photobucket is going to be stretched to the limit as it is... Thanks :)

hi..i know you did these like 2 years ago, lol, but ive only just come across them, so dont know if you'll see this. These screen-caps are so good (i love velvet goldmine ewan is my fave actor) and they're really sharp too.

I'm a total novice at this stuff, can i ask how you get/do you screen caps? get pics from footage on your PC etc, coz i can't seem to do it right.

I actually have gotten a new laptop since I made these, so I have to go on distant memory, but I think what I did was I used the capping function in PowerDVD. There was just a button you could press and it would automatically capture that second. The program came with my computer, but I think you can download it at download.com. I might be rembering the program name wrong, but I think that was it.

hey thanks, ive got PowerDVD, and the caption thing works, but after you've clicked it, where do you get the pictures? lol. may sound dumb, but i dont know where to get them. I click caption, it, does then continues with the movie. where do i find the caption?

And how do i make those animations?

I don't have the program anymore, but what I remember is that when you take a cap, it saves the image to a window within the program. You'll probably have to go under window or view or something to find the capture window. I don't know what it'll be called. Then in that window there will be a button to save one cap to your computer, or save all the caps you've made - you click on it and it will give you an option of where to save it on your computer.

I don't know how to make animations with this method, unless you cap frame-by-frame and then put the caps together into an animation in ImageReady.
