My roommate and I just randomly caught the Friends finale on TV. I can't believe I had never seen it before! So bittersweet *sniff*

I have so, so much work to do. I'm trying to get a start on my paper, but it's 6 PM and I've, like, read my notes and written a rambly introduction. SIGH life hard. James is going home for the weekend, and while that's sad, it's probably for the best because I didn't want to have to tell him I couldn't come out this weekend at all :-/

I got teary toooooo! I wasn't really worried, because it's pretty widely acknowledged that this is easily one of the best songs on the album, but I'm so happy it's the first good video we got. Loooove.

I have listened to Northern Downpour on repeat for DAYS. If I'd known I was going to be so stupidly in love with that whole album I would have suffered the acute Husbandly mocking and got tickets to the SF show. (MOCKING LIKE WHOA.)

Aw man, I am sad for you! I wish you were going to see them :( I hold the hope that they'll do another US tour in the fall or winter, because oh do I want to see them!

Oh god, boys! I was dieing of joy just because it's Northern Downpour, but then it's that plus Spencer at the drums and Jon singing too and Ryan and Brendon sounding gorgeous and the joy just exploded!

Is the LP album good? I haven't listened to them for a long time but some songs came up on shuffle today so I'm starting to get interested again :)

Yeah, I like it a lot! I've only just started listening to them, but I listened to them for four hours straight, if that's any indicator! It's fun, crunchy, melodic rock in the vein of MCR, though lacking, you know, Gerard and Frank and Ray and Mikey and Bob, sadly. Definitely give them a chance though *g*

It is your sister and omg omg holy crap i want to keep them in my pocket and have them play that song any time on my demand! Oh god do I hope that they play it when I see them in May! PLEASE PLEASE LORD LET THEM PLAY IT! teehee...i am ridiculously in love with this! And I love that Green Gentleman quite a lot too! It's all good! Except I do agree that the Behind the Sea album version is seriously lacking compared to the B-side version! I seriously want to commend Jon Walker so so much for basically writing Northern Downpour, or coming up with it or whatever he did! gahhhhhh Paniicccccccccc! I was so scared that i would like hate this album and have a horrible time at the concert but that is so not the case! yaaaaaaaaayyyyyy!

ETA: OH MY GOD. I just went and scoured youtube for the rest of their concert videos, and OH MY GOD. Their FACES. Everybody singing! Have you seen the video of Time to Dance where Brendon gets everybody to sing the keyboard part?

And I love Brendon and Ryan and Jon dearly, but there is NOT NEARLY ENOUGH SPENCER. Why do drummers always get stuck up high in the back??? (There's one video where Brendon jumps up on the drum riser and I had a moment of oh no, not you too.)

Last but not least, there is WEED ON THEIR MIC STANDS. INORITE.
