This was filmed by redandglenda, who has a whole pile of fantastic videos from that night. I am helping her convert and upload them to youtube because they're massive! It's a shame how completely youtube destroys the video quality, because they were perfect before, but the audio's still great and you get a good sense of their shenanigans. I'll be working on converting and uploading the rest of her videos soon :) In the meantime, go read her concert report, it's adorable!

(For the record, I don't understand the concept of "spoilers" in bandom, whether it be for new music, concerts, videos, whathaveyou. It's not like it's going to be "BRENDON DIED AT THE HONDA CIVIC TOUR! *GASP* SPOILED YOU!" They wore clothes, they played songs off the new album... shocking, heh. Just my two cents. If I were going to the HCT I'd still be all over these videos like a shark on blood :P)

I know, for me, it's a matter of wanting to be completely surprised by the stage show. I want everything to be fresh and new and not go into it with any expectations. I don't want to see pictures or watch videos. I don't even want to know the setlist. I want to be able to go see the show and not compare what I see in front of me to anything I've seen or heard on the internet. (Though I'll likely be so caught up in drooling over Spencer banging on his drums that I won't even remember my own name, much less anything else.)

Hmm, I get that I suppose, but when I went to see MCR I had seen videos of many of the songs they had been playing lately, knew the setlist intimately, even knew some of Gerard's little speeches word for word, and it didn't detract from the experience for me at ALL. Different strokes for different folks, obviously. I'll try to be respectful of that, but to be quite honest it's not going to be at the front of my mind, and there's probably things you'd consider spoilery that I wouldn't at all, so I apologize in advance if I spoil anything for you accidentally. I almost posted this (and the song title) outside of the cut :-/

That's awesome, I really appreciate your consideration. I wouldn't attempt this at all but my shows are next weekend, I think I can stay mostly spoiler-free til then. Though I realize that squee is sometimes greater than a cut tag so I've been reading my f-list very carefully!

I don't get the spoilers thing either (although, like, I kinda hate reading lyrics before I hear a song, but that's pretty easy to gloss over, and also I hate when people post a vid and list out precisely everything that happened- like if someone posted the NITA vid and I hadn't seen it, but right underneath they were all 'So, Brendon has this dream and he's chased by girls and theyre in a golf cart and he gets shot with an arrow and then its jon's dream and they're in a parade in their underwear and then it's spencers dream and...' you get the point. but also I'm not bothered if I do happen to read any) especially cos it's not like, a massive surprise to find out that, idk, MCR had, like, Helena on the setlist (cos like, omg, gosh, no way? they played a song off one of their albums? I'm so surprised) although some people seem to think it's the end of the world to find out those sort of things.

Uh, surprise rant there! Oops.

Also, I'm now picturing Bandom as a HP style fandom and the HCT is book 7 and people will be posting things saying:

I don't understand spoilers either. But then again, I don't listen to band that has a show that would even have spoilers. They go there, they play songs, every show is different. It doesn't even matter if I read the setlist because they change that all the time, too. They're on tour and they're alive, I guess you can spoil people with that? But I guess with bands like Panic and MCR that do a stage show, it's different? I don't know, I don't really get it.
