I CAN HAS HEWLETTS?

So, in David Hewlett's latest blog post (which includes a photo of David with his wee baby boy, OMG MY OVARIES) he mentioned that he and his sister Kate are booked for a con in July. I clicked to the con website, assuming it would be in California or something, BUT NO. IT IS IN BALTIMORE. BALTIMORE! Which is RIGHT THERE. Riiiiight there, omg. And I WANT TO GO! And the prices are very reasonable, something like 55 bucks for the weekend! And only 35 for a photo with DHew or 55 for a photo with both! OMG, RIGHT? I want to goooooo! Does anybody know anything about this con? It's called Shore Leave and it's fan run and I'm just wary about it being kinda dodgy, BUT OMG HEWLETTS. PLUS Adam Baldwin!! And probably more guests!

HEWLETTS. I THINK YOU WAAAAANNA. I would drive us down, and if you split the hotel room with me and Mel we'd just have to find a fourth and it would be totally peachy! Y/Y???? :D:D

I haven't either! But I think you just schmooze with a lot of fangirls, and sit and listen to DAVID AND KATE HEWLETT talk, and take pictures with them, and schmooze with fangirls more, and get autographs, and have room parties AND GENERALLY HAVE A BLAST!

Honestly though? I feel like David's Rodney doesn't quite mesh with my Rodney and it makes me sad. Like listening to him talk would just make me all agitated.

I know, but it's like... you know how you get your own personal canon about a character? I mean, maybe you don't, maybe it's only me, but I have an understanding of Rodney that I like, and sometimes the things David says makes me question that, and then I get all mopey. OH SGA CURSE YOU.

UGH IDK. It does sound like crazy fun. Emphasis on the crazy.
