I'm just curious... who actually reads my journal? I mean, I get a max of 2 or 3 people commenting on each of my entries. And yet, I've recently survived two flist cuts. I'm so confused. Do people read my journal, nod smile and move on? Or what?

A quiz... what was my big birthday present that I posted about either yesterday or the day before? (If you get it wrong, I cut you from my flist!! Mwahahaha. I'm just kidding, but I do wonder. I don't blame you if you don't remember, actually, I have a hard time keeping track of everyone myself. But it will be an interesting experiment!)

That's the conclusion I've come to... I mean I have to admit I'm guilty of it too. It's just that some people get by default 20 comments on every entry, and I'm wondering whether there's a certain type of friend (ie, fangirls, I suppose... you know, people there only for icons or whatever) who comments regardless. And then there are real friends who only comment when they have interesting things to say, and/or the time ^_^

*nods* I've noticed that too. And it's an interesting reasoning you have up there! I usually think the opposite; that there are some friends who'll comment whether you post an epic fic and a bizillion icons or just a line complaining about whatever. They'd comment just to leave you a hug because they like you, whereas people who visit your LJ for something specific only leave comments when you post material. But I really like your way of thinking, esp the 'interesting things to say' bit. :)
