exsequarJust a little update... things are still going well, I'm having a good time. Homework is really not that bad yet, at all. I've definitely got a handle on it. I got a job (as you heard if you listened to my phone post.. hee) which starts Tuesday, and choir also starts Tuesday, so this week is gonna be busy!
Me and three friends (the ones I've been hanging out with the most, Rob, Maxie, and Erin. Love them :) ) went to a play on campus earlier tonight called 500 clown Frankenstein. It was put on by this group called 500 clown that takes traditional shows or stories and turns them into a mix of physical comedy and satire. It was absolutely hilarious. I loved it. It was this great mix of just pure hilarity, physical gags and general silliness, along with poignancy (especially the end) and sharp, witty satire. They really took aim at the attitudes of the people in the story Frankenstein, who reacted so terribly to this creature who was simply misunderstood. They did that in a great scene where the doctor and his assistant basically threw themselves at the monster, who just looked so confused, and used his hands to like smack themselves and stuff, while he just looked bewildered. It was really great, and thought provoking. Three thumbs up from me :)
Then we watched Garden State! The two guys say that it's a borderline chick flick, though a little weirder than chick flicks are supposed to be. I don't think it's one at all... what do you think? Anyways, regardless, I love this movie. Whee.
