SOMEHOW, Donnie Wahlberg manages to get MORE RIDICULOUS every day. I don't know how he does it!! In case you're wondering if I've suddenly gotten a hard on for New Kids on the Block, no, I'm afraid not - he's one of the stars of Band of Brothers. Incongruous, I know! Believe me, I'm still trying to reconcile the two things in my head.

TODAY, Donnie posted THE MARSHMALLOW VIDEO. What is a Marshmallow Video? Well - IT IS A VIDEO OF HIS ASS. Literally! Pictures of his ass falling out of his jeans, and looking like a MARSHMALLOW.

I don't even KNOW. I'm just loling over here. Ahahaha OH DONNIE. "I'M DOIN IT CAUSE YOU SAID I SAID I'D DO IT!"

It's so weird because in BoB, his character is solid, capable, nurturing, compassionate, steady, humble, low key, restrained. PRETTY MUCH THE ANTITHESIS OF OL DONNIE THE RIDICFACE. I don't know how he did it! I wonder if he was more serious during filming? Like, between takes was he DONNIE THE NEW KID ON THE BLOCK WHO SHOWS HIS MARSHMALLOW? Or did he stay a bit more in character in respect for the material? Inquiring minds want to know!

IDK, Ron Livingston's video diary leads me to believe that they were all crazy-method during filming, so I kinda doubt he was showing off his marshmallow between takes. But maybe every now and then he'd slip. Maybe it was a game - goad Lipton into reverting to Dee Dubs. Maybe they had a points system.

*eyedarts* Richard Speight has talked about Donnie mooning him while he was on patrol. He said it was a really surreal experience, because apparently Donnie is actually kind of a quiet guy?

You know, I can see Donnie being kind of quiet in some circumstances. I mean, he's a very sweet and loving person, he just kind of uses the internet to let his ridic flag fly. I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't like that ALL the time, because who has the energy? :P

Speaking of awesome bootcamp stories involving Speight, who was it who was talking about how several of the actors had competing impressions of Dale Dye, and that Speight's involved a hand-puppet? Am I just misremembering? (I can imagine Rick Gomez and Speight having a sort of impression-off during filming.)

I ask myself that EVERY DAY. He's so cheesy and over the top and different from Lip in every way! The similarity I see, though, that allowed Donnie to play Lip is the underlying goodness of heart. They're both just such good, loving people, and Donnie tapped into the quieter side of that goodness, but it was still the same basic source. :)
