I just found out about Defying Gravity a few weeks ago cause a local tv channel started airing it in HD and I just suddenly realized it was Ron's face in HD on my tv and I'd watch it no matter what it was xD
Turns out I quite like it, I don't know how to explain it without giving too much away, but I'm up to ep 7 and it still has me hooked, and I love Ron's character :D

That icon is brilliant, btw. I always crack up that they have that intro on all the diaries, when the intro is almost as long as the diary itself. xD

I didn't/don't know who Ross McCall is, but he looks and sorta sounds just like the guy who was the drummer for Layden, my local baby band from last year. It was pretty damn uncanny how similar their mannerisms were. Is he on Band of Brothers? 'Cause I'll be watching that over spring break and it'll be interesting to see if I see the same similarities there. :P

Ross McCall plays maybe my second favorite character in Band of Brothers, yes! I see a lot of similarities between his White Collar character and his Band of Brothers character - similar accents, and a certain snarkiness and assholeishness. (The reason I mention his accent is because Ross is actually SCOTTISH, which is really fucking hot but he does a great American accent.) His BoB character (Liebgott, unff <3) isn't an evil murdering sonofabitch though, just something of an adorable bitch. He also looks quite a bit different - he's one of those dudes whose face thickens as he ages. Here's how he looked as Lieb:

I AM EXCITED TOO. :D But yeah, wow. I can't find a good picture of him that really proves they look that similar, I suppose it's more in the mannerisms, but this picture is the best I got.

And as far as wanting to meet him goes, he's super talented and I have no doubt that he will wind up in a successful band sooner rather than later. :P He's good friends with the dudes in The Cab, apparently, and as far as I'm concerned it's only a matter of time. At one point in time he was recording solo stuff, and I'm hoping he'll put out a CD and then get a band together and tour. (Sorry, once I get going on my boys I don't stop easily.)

HAH! I know Ross McCall (well, I should say I used to know him. I haven't spoken to him in like, 8 years) and you have just amused the hell out of me! He's a lovely guy in real life, an absolute charmer. He would be very pleased with this post.

You should see my face right now. It's pretty epic. But OMG YOU KNOW ROSS MCCALL?! That's... phenomenal. How did you meet him? How well did you know him? How deeply wonderful is his Scottish accent in person (which I've only heard teasing snippets of in BoB special features)?! :D

It's great to hear that he's such a lovely guy! Always a nice thing to know. He did an incredible job on Band of Brothers - his character is one of my two favorites, within an enormous cast of wonderful characters. Entertaining and hilarious on the one hand, and tragic and moving on the other. Amazing. I did an entire picspam of 80 pictures of his face (BoB caps) in hugely high res - I wonder if he would be pleased with that post or creeped out. ;)

I used to work for his agent, so I knew him pretty well at the time. Had his numbers in my cell and everything. His Scottish accent is delightful. All the ladies in the office used to fawn over him for it and he knew it! He was quite the little flirt when he wanted to be. I left that job in 2003 (so 7 years ago- sorry) when he was about to go do voice work for The Polar Express and I didn't really keep in touch after that.

I can't say for sure anymore, because he was really not at all famous when I knew him and maybe things are different now, but I think he'd get a kick out of the pic spam. He used to tease me about BoB because I was pretty much the only girl in the world who didn't love that miniseries or have a crush on any of the guys. He'd tell me I was cold hearted. It was very cute. I think he'd like that someone else I knew was super into it if only because it would further illustrate how wrong in the head I am.
