I'm feeling so conflicted for said match, because... well, you know my undying commitment to Die Mannschaft, but I was such an Aussiephile for so long...

Well, of course I went with the Mannschaft. It was a thrashing. I agreed with the commentators that Cahill did not deserve that red card AT ALL. And he's gonna miss out on the rest of the group stage games because of it.

I hope the AFC appeal the charge.

Oh yes, that was atrocious! A red card is just ridiculously extreme. So what precisely is the consequence of a red card - missing the next two games? Or all the games in a stage of the tourney? I still don't know some of the nuances of the rules.

It's especially sad since he's their key striker. I hope they appeal it too.

To be honest, the only reason why I'll be giving anything of a shit is because I have to, listening to the boys at work bang on and on and on. I am one of those awful fairweather fans when it comes to football, because I only give a shit if we're winning. :x
