I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW MY HEART IS ACTUALLY RACING AND I AM FLUSHED AND JOYOUS AND HAPPY.

I watched the game with my roommate in my favorite coffee bar in Ann Arbor where the owner is GERMAN. And CUTE. That was so super fun. I got very loud and people laughed at me but I DON'T CARE because they were soooooooooo amazing. What a gorgeous, GORGEOUS game of football they played! Every single goal was gorgeous and composed and well-deserved, and involved different people almost every time! I might have these mixed up, but as far as I remember: 1. Poldi assist, Mueller goal. 2. Poldi assist, Klose goal. <3333 3. Schweini assist, FRIEDRICH goal OMG!!! 4. Oezil assist, Klose goal. (!!!!!) Just - so much beautiful football from EVERY SIDE. The Schweini assist was my FAVORITE piece of artwork - he just kept his composure so, so gorgeously, tapped a perfect pass back and Friedrich buried it. I CAN'T EVEN HANDLE THEM OMG. FRIEDRICH, AKA THE HUG MONSTER, GOT A GOAL. I love when my lovely defenders get goals! (It's your turn Lahmi!) And there was a Poldi/Klose magic goal!!! Just like 2006!! AHHHH THEY KILL ME SO MUCHHHH.

Even more poetic, this was Klose's ONE HUNDREDTH international cap, and he scored TWO GOALS. He is now only ONE GOAL behind the ALL TIME WORLD CUP SCORER. What!!! And there's (probably!) two games LEFT in this World Cup! I predict that by July 11th, he will be the top World Cup scorer of ALL TIME EVER. How incredibly deserved. We love our Miro!!!!!

HE EVEN DID THE FLIP OF HAPPY JOY! YAAAAAY.

Who thought that Germany would ANNIHILATE Argentina? NOBODY, THAT'S WHO. (Except for Paul the octopus, lololol) I was so, so nervous, thinking about Ger-Serbia and Ger-Ghana, but it seems that once again, Germany has gelled at the crucial time and has pulled out all the stops. Argentina looked a bit threatening for a while when it was 1-0, but they never looked SCARY, and after it was 2-0 Germany just dominated. Beautiful passing, composed and thoughtful plays in the box. I am SO PROUD.

I'm sad that Mueller won't play in the next game, but hey, we have three OTHER fantastic strikers! AHHH I LOVE MY TEAMMMMM.

Yes. I'm already home. Usually I would be partying (drunk) somewhere by now but because I have to do some hardcore studying tomorrow I said quickly "Bye-Bye" (even when all of them tried to convince me not to!!) and I'm here and the rest of the evening will be flailing and squeeing and looking at pictures and watching the game again and föaklsdfjödalksfjöldsakfjdsaölkfjlkdsaöfjöldaksfjlkdsafjldaksfkjsafd.

I can't stop smiling and flailing and squeeing, Anne. I CAN'T.

I was physically sick the moment the game started and then that offside-goal of Argentina?!?! And then, in the beginning of the second half Argentina did some serious pressing and I was a nervous wreck and I was so scared I worried about our babies but of course (OF COURSE!) they did some PURE MAGIC THERE TODAY.

The first goal. Thomas. MY WEE ONE. MY DARLING. MY CUTIE.

And then, when I already feared that Miro wouldn't score today he did that "Oh I'll controll the ball first and THEN I'll score"-goal. dfaöklsldjf. I went already a bit crazy. Because, yes, 100th game and goal and WOW.

Oh oh oh and then Arne. So so so so well deserved. He plays the tournament of his life. (Maybe because he knows that it will most likely be his last, just like Miro's - But, not thinking about that too much now! Otherwise I'll get incredibly sad.) And then this puddle of hug and him running away just so swoooosh over the ground.

And then. And THEN. When Mesut had the ball we were all screaming "THERE'S MIRO. PLAY A PASS. THERE'S MIR... GOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL." and the flip and I think I jumped around like a maniac and I was hugging people. Cause. IT'S FUCKING MIRO. MY FAVOURITE PLAYER. ♥ &Hearts; ♥ AND HE MADE ALL THE CRITICS SHUT UP. (There were people sitting beside me, not friends, some strangers, who were all "Bah, Klose has to go out" when he missed that first OMG SO HUGE chance there. HA!)

Have you seen their faces after the game?! They hugged the hell out of each other and there was happy!Miro face and I can't wait to download the game when the taping is over...

ETA: And i totally forgot to mention Basti! ♥ What did he do today? What was that? He was so amazing, this pass before Arne's goal.

There are surely two games left now. Either it's the final or the "little final" like the one we had last time.

But. I wouldn't count on us doing it again this year ;)

exsequar, I'm definitely going to leave a squeeful comment about how AMAZING all of the team were today (God, Schweinsteiger's assist was beautiful - dodging 3 defenders, drawing the GK out of his position and then perfectly passing it back to Arne just sfjls;adjkf) but I'm off to watch the Spain Paraguay game now so I'll just leave it at OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG! and :DDDDDD for now!

OH MY GOD THEY WERE AMAZING. Such beautiful play. Such amazing men. Miro is such a legend, and I'm crazy proud of him. All of them played amazingly. It was really a wonderful showing of "team play" - the fact that we're squealing over *assists* says so, so much.

Now time to bite my nails furiously over the Germany-Spain semi. Gah.

The whole thing just worked together so gorgeously. So many selfless passes, thoughtful plays, just beautiful, beautiful football. This is how the game is meant to be played.

Spain played rather terribly for the most part today, so I'm confident - but trying not to get TOO confident. This World Cup has been littered with heartbreakers and shockers, and we aren't immune! But I will be a good deal less TERRIFIED than I was today, haha.
