Good morning friends! It's 5:42 AM. I will never get used to waking up at 5 AM. Classes start at 7:20 for my students. Unacceptable!!

I haven't been posting because my computer has been acting up and it's a struggle just to get my work done. :( And LJ is BLOCKED at work! What a travesty!

Yesterday, I did a flame test demo for my chem kids. It was SO COOL. Here's a video of two of the flames - I actually did six. The kids loved it. I loved the little glass bowls I found to do it in because the flames looked so cool in them.

I haven't been watching SPN this season but my friend tipped me off that there was an episode about BABY!!!! Written by Robbie Thompson!!! So of course I watched and it was AMAZING. I don't have time to yell about it right now BUT COME YELL AT ME! WINCHESTERS! IN THEIR BABY! HAVING ALL THE HEART TO HEARTS! I AM DEAD AND GONE! Basically if Robbie Thompson ran SPN I would still love it. Fuck Bob Singer (I've heard it's his fault that that-beloved-character-last-season died).

Now I have to go get ready for work, woe. At least it is almost Friday!!

I saw a lot of people who really didn't like Baby which... I do not understand? That episode was GREAT. It was the first really good episode of the season, actually, for all I dearly love Amara.

But. BABY. How can you not love?!

Wait wait wait. People didn't like Baby?!? Why??? It was like heaven to me! Basically every Winchester fic I've ever read, and everything I love about them in my headcanons. It was so great! What are people bitching about?

I assume Amara is a lady? In that case super excited for her funeral. They even killed off Abaddon for fucks sake, while Crowley is still strutting around managing to be boring and annoying at the same time. #bitter

Oh, they're totally killing off Amara. She's this season's big bad and even if she does last s11, she'll be killed off eventually.

I join you in bitterness. I get that this show kills off (almost) everyone not named Sam or Dean. I'm just annoyed that it only kept two more straight white dudes.

Apparently people on my twitter stream did not like Baby! I have NO IDEA why and haven't looked closely because I loved it. It was fan service done excellently and managed continuity at the same time, something that really only SPN can do. Sure, they fail at it some of the time, but their record is still better than literally everyone else.
