I nearly had a heart attack when I saw that Brokeback Mountain isn't playing at my local theater back home. Seriously, there were tears. But then I did a "within 40 miles" search and there's an independent theater in Stamford (half an hour away... I went to school there, so it's fine) playing it on the 16th and beyond. YAY. The only thing is that I don't know how I'm going to get someone to take me to see it, and then see it by myself. Damn. This would be a really good time to have a license, Anne :P

Yesterday, Michelle and I were shopping at the campus bookstore for X-mas presents. She bought BBM the short story (they now have it in a book on its own... it's really pretty) and the lady behind the counter was like "huh! I didn't know this was a short story." and then we proceeded to talk about it, how she really really wants to see it, and all sorts of things. It was really exciting. She's a sweet woman, I sort of know her because she's in my office a lot at work, and it was really cool to find this out about her. Sometimes people can be cool :)

Silly theaters. I think that the closest it is playing to my home might also be the closest it is playing to yours. We should definitely go see the same show if that's true. :)

BBM is the gay cowboy movie right? Im surprised I havent heard more controversy about that. I guess people in Boston are too busy trying to repell the gay marrige law.

Argh, I'm so annoyed about this whole "5 theatres" thing.

Don't they realized we've all waited DAMNED LONG ENOUGH to see this movie already!

I want to see it NOW!

It's not opening in my city until the fucking 23rd (and I have a feeling the usual theatre I go to isn't going to have it, as they have a tendency to pander to the lowest common denominator). This is just going to invite a whole lot of piracy, mark my words.

I want my boykissing NOW, not in 2 fucking weeks!
