Ground rules: The first player of this "game" starts with the topic "Five Weird Habits of Yourself" and the people who get tagged need to then write an LJ entry about their five quirky little habits as well as state the rules of this game clearly. In the end, you need to list the next five people who you want to tag.

(I don't know if I'm going to be able to come up with 5.... but here goes)

1. I can't stand to sit and watch commercials. It feels like such a waste of time (like watching TV isn't :P) so I have to channel surf during the commercials. It drives my brother nutty.

2. I can't go to bed having just done work (except in extreme cases, like when finishing a Senior Thesis at 4 AM... um, yeah) so even if it's pretty damn late, I have to do something for pleasure first. For example, last night, I was working on a paper, but then I stayed up til 3 AM making icons (Boondock Saints, so much love, omg) because I had to have that me time before being able to sleep.

3. I always have to be doing something with my hands. Lately that's meant playing with my cell phone or keys all the time, or tapping a pencil, or something.

4. I like to tweak my own handwriting. Every once in a while, I'll get bored with how I write a certain letter, and start to write it a different way. As a result, my handwriting is always morphing. I used to write my E's with straight lines, now I do them like backward 3's. I'm just always so conscious of it, it's weird. Sometimes I wonder what a handwriting expert would make of it.

5. When I'm singing along with a song, I have to sing the harmony, if at all possible. As a result, it sometimes sounds like I can't sing in tune if I have headphones on, but I really can :P Me and Sara found out that we each do it, so we were singing the harmony together, it was amusing.

I hate going to bed as well. Last year, when id get home from my friends house at 4,5, or 6am, Id always stay up another hour on the computer anyway.

Dude. I thought I was the only one who changes my handwritting at random. It's always just small changes in my letters. Like I went from regular Es to writting my Es as backward 3s. Then there's like the typed A or the looks like an O A. It's just nice to change it up!

And I drive people crazy. My hands always have to be busy so I can relate. I think it is like an anxiety disorder or something. Haha.

You can't stand commercials eh? Have you ever watched the N? They show the same 5 commercials in between every show. One day I got so mad I through the remote at the TV. I guess I'll have to take a leaf out of your book and just start changing the channels.

Hee, it's good to know I'm not the only one that does that! I did the a thing too! Another one is that I used to write f's like they're typed, but now I've been doing them with a loop at the top and then a straight line across. I think it's pretty :D Also, I changed my capitals J's so that I draw it with one line instead of two... i start at the top left, go to the right, and then go directly down into the curve, without the bit hanging out on the right.

....I'll stop now. Haha.

In forth grade, my Social Studies teacher insisted that we write our script capital 'W's a certain way or she would take off points. This isn't really all that relevant or even interesting. But I am procrastinating.

LOL, I agree with the first part of #1. I prefer to not see something first run because with TiVo I can skip commercials for something recorded. I don't channel-surf, though, because if I did, I'd miss some of a show and then die. :P

Same with 2. I freak out when I don't have me time, but lately I haven't had any, so I'm getting used to it.

My best friend does #5, but she's such an insanely good singer it kind of freaks me out how spot on she is. But it does sound funny when you can't hear the music. :D

I wish I could change my handwriting at will; it's atrocious. I'd like to have many different styles so I could do shoebox-esque things with notes. But alas, I am inept. Hehe. Your weird habits don't seem to be so weird after all!

1. I watch TV just for the adverts :P No really, I do!

2. Nor can I. If I do art work before bed, and then try to sleep, my mind can't come down and I'm painting in my head. It's blooming annoying :P
