So I was in chem class, just doodling down some SPN quotes, and I decided to make this list.

*and/or cried and/or flailed and/or beamed widely and/or immediately went searching for porn


(I was going to try to put these in an order, but after I came up with 10 I looked at them all and just couldn't prioritize. So these are just the order I came up with them in. And yes, these are all from memory, apologies for any inaccuracies.)

I was also going to give, y'know, reasons and squealing and stuff, but honestly these all speak for themselves. Oh, Dean.


I also have a question for you all. In Scarecrow, who do you think was more surprised that the other left? I've seen both interpretations and I'm curious about what you think. Some people say that Dean didn't expect Sam to actually go through with it and leave. Others say that Sam didn't expect Dean to really abandon him on the side of the road. I think they were both surprised by exactly how far this tiff went, but they were each too stubborn (and mad) to give in and admit they didn't want to be alone. I'd love to hear other thoughts - just tossing this out there :)

Yesterday I wore my new Threadless t-shirt, the one with the hands picking handcuffs with a PAPERCLIP. It was great fun.

Okay now I need to take a nap before chem lab. Oh joy.

I agree with you, they were both as surprised as one another, each of them thought the other would be the one to back down but neither of them did.

I think Sam was more surprised. Dean always did everything to protect his little borther and had always been there for him - Sam on the other hand had left before, leaving Dean behind, so I don't think it surprised Dean much that he went through with it (once again).

*flailyhands* I KNOW. I just rewatched those bits of Benders this morning and God. That episode might as well have been titled "In Which Dean Freaks Out Because The Most Important Person In His Life Is Threatened, and Dean Can't Live Without Him." Awwwwwwww.

I hafta say Sam was probably more surprised. Dean probably expects such behavior out of Sam (and I imagine it was pretty typical of Sam to threaten to go). Then again, they're both quite stubborn and they know that about each other, so I'm pretty sure this kind of fight wasn't terribly atypical.

I interpreted the scene in Scarecrow the same way you did. They both didn't think the other would do it, so they both went through with it, waiting for the other to stop first (which consequently never happened). And so when they were trying and failing to call one another they really wanted to make up, but the stubborn side was still lingering.

I'm just happy Sam realised there's more to it than that and went back to help Dean. *snuggles them*
