SGA 3x13 Irresponsible

Ronon showing off to Teyla is hotass - "I do that all the time." - and her acknowledging smile is so cute. N'aw!

Of course John's the one to wonder where Rodney is! And then they're talking about superheroes, and of *course* John knows what Rodney's is, and intentionally brings it up. SO BOYFRIENDS OMG *falls over*

Am I the only one who thinks it's weird that our guys saunter up to friendly people and make small talk with BIG GUNS DANGLING RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM? I mean, they're just resting their hands casually on their MACHINES OF DEATH! It's so bizarre o.O

Ewwww it's Lucius! *stabs*

Heeee, I love Ronon facepalming during Lucius's story. He's clearly using every ounce of restraint he's got not to strangle the guy. Oh Ronon.

Rodney's got his legs crossed like a girl! Haha! And John needs to chew on straw all the time.

Oh FUCK yes. Teyla just totally verbally bitchslapped this guy. "So you mean these people aren't drugged and they like you, for who you really are?" Hee.

Ahahaha. "See? Invincible. I can't be vinced." OMG what an idiot. I wish Ronon COULD punch him!

*keyboardsmash* Ronon turns to go back into the pub to STRANGLE Lucius - he runs into Rodney and Rodney's like "Eep! *gets out of the way*" and John just puts a hand on Ronon's chest and Ronon turns around. NNGH.

Rodney: "We're the good guys!" Hee. *hearts*

*gasp* KOLYA! Ooooh, I can't wait to see Sheppard take him DOWN. *sits riveted*

NNNNNGH. John and his low, growly "'s a good idea" (re: shooting Kolya and co.) and then COCKING THE GUN which I swear I have a Pavlovian response to. SO HOT ASLKFJLSDFK.

Randomly, Kolya has really pretty eyes. I bet he was handsome when he was younger.

I love that Rodney's response to being held up by Genii soldiers is a cute little "Ow!"

N'awwww! Rodney's faith in John makes me happy. It's John's turn to save Rodney's life, huh? They are the cutest :D

*dies* Rodney's trying to DIG HIS WAY OUT?

RAWR! Rodney gets tough and defensive when someone threatens his man! Daaaamn! Kolya: "I'm afraid I'm going to have to kill him." Rodney: "Funny, he says the same thing about you." There's STEEL in his eyes, folks! *swoons* And then five seconds later he's in wide-eyed panic. Oh RODNEY. *snuggles up to him*

Carson has really pretty eyes too! Like the sea after a storm... Oscar Wilde? No, Princess Bride. Good movie! (HOW MUCH DO I LOVE THAT JOHN QUOTED THE PRINCESS BRIDE IN THE RETURN? So much I capslock about it, obviously :D)

Dude, Kolya's trying to decide who to kill in order to most likely coax John out of hiding, and of COURSE he's considering Rodney. *flail!* And JOHN RESPONDS TO THAT! asdlfkjsdlfjsdf. Even evil wannabe-dictators can see right through them! Eeeeeeeee!

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww! I LOVE OUR TEAM! They ALL volunteer to die first! And Rodney's like "I... er... wouldn't want to waste a noble deed!" Ohhhh, Rodney.

Mmmmm, John's super cool under fire. Hee. And then when he opens his vest to reveal the shield, he does this cocky stretch thing, omg. I love him.

3x14 The Tao of Rodney

Can i just randomly say that I love that the shot they use of Rodney in the title credits is of his "MEEP!" face? It's so appropriate! Oh Rodney. I feel like I'm going to be saying that a lot this episode :D

lsdkfjsldkfj John volunteers to be Rodney's guard. Aslkfsjdflksjdf. ANY EXCUSE, HUH BOYS?!

And then he's "casually curious" about the girl Rodney's supposedly showing off for. IT'S NOT EVEN SUBTEXT ANYMORE. You all told me but I had to see for myself. Good god. *falls over*

I love when Elizabeth whips out the linguistic skillz. She should do it more often.

Hee, oh John. "Does superego count as a power?"

Rodney actually looks really healthy and pretty right now. Like, he's glowing! Huh. If that's all Hewlett, bravo! Or maybe it's makeup, hee.

asflsdkfsdjf. Ronon needs to bear down menacingly on people more often. Preferably with that adorable smirk accompanied by crinkly eyes. Nnngh. Me = combusting.

I love Elizabeth. She's so kind and compassionate and wise.

Oh! Oh oh! Rodney's apology to Radek brought tears to my eyes! ....Please tell me he has a similar heart to heart with John?

*squeaks* RONON! My god. What a question, and what an answer! My heart is all thumping and and and the HUG and and... *POINTS*

He wrote a book about Elizabeth!!! I'm dying over here, folks. *meep*

*EXCLAMATION POINT EXCLAMATION POINT EXCLAMATION POINT* "I'D LIKE YOU TO READ MY EULOGY"!!! Awwwwwwww! But... but Rodney didn't do anything specificly wonderful for John, like he did for everyone else! Is that because John already knew his heart, and there was no need for that kind of reconciliation? Hm. But John catching Rodney and hands hands hands! Yes, that was lovely.

John's voice, quiet and anguished: "There must be something we can do."

*squeaks* Elizabeth: "Rodney you're a good person. Know that we love you."

Oh there it is! "In the way a friend loves... another friend." Oh, SHOW. Oh, JOHN. Oh, RODNEY. Hearts are flying all over the place!

That whole scene was gorgeous (this is comments after rewatching it). Teyla has her hands pressed together, as if in prayer. John looks ripped apart - there are TEARS in his eyes, and I think you can see one on his cheek near the end! And Rodney's quiet thank you to Carson was so sweet. They're just... they feel so much for each other, all of them, and Rodney might be rough and abrasive, but they love him. They really, really do.

And as usual, a flash of pretty lights saves the day. Yay scifi! \o/

HEEEEEE! OH RONON! He gave Rodney a BEAR HUG! That is perhaps the cutest thing I have EVER SEEN. AWWWWWW.

Heeeee! "You love me!" I swear, Elizabeth just gets cuter and cuter.

In conclusion, OH, RODNEY. So much LOVE! This episode was indeed deeply awesomesauce. So much to cherish and hug to my chest! I love every single one of these guys, I really really do. *happy happy sigh*


Well that was a nice escape. Now I need to actually get shit done. Bleh.

Yes! Exactly! At first, I was like, "Huh, why didn't he apologize to John for stuff..." but then I realized that, like Rodney said, they're good. They've worked out their issues, they know what they mean to each other, it was all beautifully simplistic and uncomplicated; he doesn't need to do anything special, because they're just LIKE THAT all the time.

And God, asking him to deliver his eulogy is...I don't even know how to react to that, still, even though I watched that episode almost 2 months ago, because, you don't ask just anyone to do that for you. You ask your husband/wife/partner/the person who means the most to you. This completely validates the importance of their relationship, in my opinion. They really are best friends [and you know, married and stuff, but either way].

Goodness, I love them. So much.

This episode is absolutely fantastic. I want to watch it again now. The love is so prevalent, all around! They all love Rodney so much, and I'm so happy that he knows it.

Yes! To everything you said! You know, I bet the writers had no intention of making John and Rodney particularly good friends from the start (it really does seem like they're going for the group dynamic more than anything) but Joe and David just play off each other so well, that this thing built up, out of anyone's control, and just became this gorgeous, understated thing that is nevertheless undeniably THERE. His EULOGY! *squeaks* That's... yeah. That's love.

And I wonder what John was going to do/say before Rodney passed out.

Because he stood up and said, "Rodney," all anguished, and stepped closer to him, and I swear, he looked like he was going to do something drastic, like hug him. Like, ACTUALLY SHOW SOME PHYSICAL AFFECTION! John Sheppard, who is like, "eww touching and feelings."

Oh well, we did get to see Rodney fall into John's arms.

I seriously was laughing at the candles. One, where did he get them? Two, when he called the medical team to his room were they like, "Sooooo what were you guys...doing...in here....with all the candles....and stuff?" And was John like, "We were meditating!" And were the med team like, "Oh is that what you crazy kids are calling it these days?"

Hahah "You know what he needs? He needs to *release his burden*" WTF John. That made me laugh so hard.

I really think it's true, what you said about them not meaning originally to make John and Rodney such good friends. I actually think I read that they meant to make John and Elizabeth have that military/civilian friendship, but things just didn't work out that way.

I don't think they meant for John and Rodney to be married. It just sort of happened.

LOL, the CANDLES. *dies* They probably got them from Teyla. I can just see her raised eyebrow. And why isn't Teyla teaching him meditation? She does it all the time!! Haha. Just cause John spent some time with some hippie freaks makes him an expert? No, it's that Rodney responds best to him! And everyone knows it! I love, I love a lot.

I actually really love John and Elizabeth's relationship too. I'm so glad they don't sexualize it, because it would be so easy to Go There, but they DON'T, and that's what's awesome about this show. Everyone loves each other without any of it being about sex. That's awesome. It keeps it away from anything like a soap opera, and keeps it character/concept driven drama, just the way I like it. I love this show :D

Umm...didn't we see Teyla meditating like, two episodes ago, in "Echoes?"

I do like John and Elizabeth's friendship, but i don't see anything remotely romantic about it. At all.

I just don't think they have that kind of chemistry.

And I think they've pretty much dropped the idea, which is good. It shows that they know their characters and what would work and what wouldn't.

See, I can more easily see RODNEY and Elizabeth than John and Elizabeth.

They've got a cute flirty vibe. And he's just so adorable about her; he respects her and treats her so well.

As this episode showed!

Rodney kind of works with everyone, in my opinion. [Just you know, mostly with John :) ]

*wibbles a lot* THE TEARS! I just... John was the only one who was misty! JOHN! The stoic, sarcastic, no chick-flick-moments guy was the one who had tears in his eyes! Not Teyla, not Elizabeth. I just... god. *squishes them together*

And I just... Rodney asked John to read his eulogy. They might as well get married and get it over with, because it's SO OBVIOUS. *happy sigh*
