Yay! Finally!

I have finally received my Official Letter of Acceptance from Trinity College Dublin! \o/
This is a Very Good Thing, as up til now this entire business had been mere word of mouth from the professor here acting as my program coordinator with Trinity. This document is what will get me through customs at Dublin International! Thus, very important!
Alas, the lady misspelled my last name, and it was only the letter - I was hoping for some helpful information! It says I'll be getting orientation materials, which makes me wonder when exactly, lol. The letter does tell me that I have to present myself for Registration on October 3rd at 9:15 AM, and that registration for classes takes place during the first two weeks of school.
I'm so excited WHEE!! *spins in circles*
In other news, I kind of outed myself as a blogger to my labmates :P I mentioned that I knew people in Europe that I was going to visit while abroad, and Dave said "I wish I knew people in Europe!" I replied, "It's the blogosphere, man!" Brandon said, "You blog?" At my affirmative, Dave said "That's weird."
Why? Why is it weird to blog?? I don't like that that's the default response. Meh.
Good thing I didn't mention LJ, because I don't think it would be terribly hard to find me on here!

Date: 2007-06-26 06:38 pm (UTC)Well, he and I have a very bantery relationship, so I think he was at least partially making a jab at me for making a jab's sake. It wasn't malicious in any way. But it still made me go :-/ a little bit.

Date: 2007-06-26 06:41 pm (UTC)I had to watch on silent because I'm stuck here at work, but how, HOW is he so pretty? No really. It's not human.
Stupid fucking paparazzi, though *stabs*
What does he say at the end? Of COURSE he's calling George *grins*

Date: 2007-06-26 06:11 pm (UTC)also, i feel like most people our age are pretty cool about blogs/blogging. i find it odd that your labmates reacted that way!

Date: 2007-06-26 06:47 pm (UTC)I know, you'd think that right? I think he was at least partially just ribbing me for fun, because that's how we roll, so it's okay. But still. Quite odd!

Date: 2007-06-26 11:39 pm (UTC)Bizarrely, despite being a citizen and all, I've actually never been to Ireland! I hope to visit sometime in the next year or two - gotta see the ancestral homeland and all. And I'm a raving U2 fangirl, so a pilgrimage to Dublin is a priority!

Date: 2007-06-27 12:15 am (UTC)How did you enjoy studying in England? I'm asking everyone about their experiences so I can sorta get a better idea what to expect!
Dude, you're an Irish citizen? That's so ridiculously cool. You definitely need to go there, silly! My mom's a huge U2 fan too, so when she found out I was going to Dublin she told me to look out for U2 for her *laughs*
