Wipe away those tears of blood again
Nov. 9th, 2007 01:27 pmI am now a legal year-long resident in Ireland!! \o/!
This means: MCR YAYE. Just in case you missed that part. :D:D:D:D
The process was long and tedious and COLD. I woke up at 6:30, left my apartment about 10 minutes after the sun came up, and waited in line outside for two hours until they opened the doors. The temperature was approximately freezing (as in 32 degrees F) and soon I couldn't feel my toes. I had dressed as warm as I possibly could, but omgsocold. The guy next to me (really nice guy from Pakistan, though we never exchanged names oddly enough) was wearing a thin sweater and he was SO COLD. Whoops.
To entertain myself, I brought Chuck Palahniuk's Invisible Monsters, which I was halfway through, and I finished it before we even got in the doors *facepalm* It was really good though, I absolutely loved it. Additionally, because I do not have my replacement ipod yet (tear!) I used my phone, which has the capacity for approx. 3 songs, and as a result... I listened to Heaven Help Us, Headfirst for Halos (Live), and Prison (Live) on a loop for TWO HOURS TOTAL. Um. Good thing I love those songs to a ridiculous degree! And I still do, believe it or not *g* It also helped picturing the boys performing the songs and thinking "THIS PROCESS WILL LET ME SEE MY BOYS. IT IS WORTH IT." Excellent motivation \o/
Once inside, I just had to sit and wait for my number to come up. Which it did in about two MORE hours and then I had to wait 10 more minutes for them to make my card and then I got it and it is PRETTY AND SHINY AND MINE :D
Now I have put food in my stomach and I am going to go faceplant on my bed \o/

Date: 2007-11-09 06:11 pm (UTC)It turned out she just had a really late night out, and her phone was out of credit! It was just out of character, which is why we were worried. She's fine though! Thanks for asking sweetie!
