I feel nauseous.

Heath was such a positive and bright presence in my adolescence - I bet there's less than a handful of you that hasn't seen 10 Things I Hate About You or A Knight's Tale. And then he proved himself to be so much more than a pretty face, turning in a performance that was lightyears beyond just "a gay cowboy," and I was so fucking proud of him.

And now he's dead.

I had no idea anything was even wrong. That's why this hurts so much - it's just so out of the blue.

RIP, Heath. You will be missed.

I'm so shocked. 10 Things I Hate About You and Brokeback Mountain were easily two of my favorite movies. He was so talented, and all signs pointed to him becoming one of the best actors of his generation.

I still can't believe it. A Knight's Tale is one of my all-time favorites, I've seen it dozens of times and it never fails to crack me up. :( :( :(

I can't stop thinking about him in 10 Things I Hate About You and how he just lit up the screen and. Yeah. I agree, it's the complete unexpected randomness of this that makes it such a gut-punch.

It's so shocking. Some of the more recent celebrity deaths weren't so surprising, with the breakdowns and the drama and the drugs and alcohol. But this is just so out of the blue.

I don't even know how to react, there are just so many things I'm thinking now. He was so young, Pete's age, my cousins age. Such a talented person, with so much going for him, and so much more life ahead of him. It's incredibly sad.

I remember seeing 10 Things I Hate About You in the theater. It was my freshman year in college and we were looking for something light and fluffy and distracting to watch, but we didn't really expect it to be so good. I remember that we walked out of the movie going "OMG, who was THAT," squeed shamelessly all the way back to campus and then looked Heath up on imdb the second we walked in the door. It sounds pretentious to say it, but watching that movie, I saw a star being born, I just knew that he was the one whose movies I'd be watching for years to come. And now he's gone.

I'm still in shock, I think. Just numb.

I saw it on CNN.com while I was at work and I stared at the computer in shock--jaw hanging open, unblinking--and it felt like someone socked me in the stomach. And I know how people often say that, but it honestly? It really felt like the wind was knocked out of me. Which feels kind of strange, now. He wasn't my favourite actor (then again, I don't have just one, and I certainly liked him a great deal), I haven't seen all of his work, and yet...it struck me.

I've been obsessively looking forward to "The Dark Knight" for about two months now (I even have the trailer on my iPod...Jesus, I just watched it twice before bed a couple nights ago), and I realized a few minutes after I heard the news that that will be his last film (because I doubt that they'll cancel its release since it has to be pretty deep into post-production by now, and his other project, "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" is still filming, which leads me to believe they'll have to recast unless his scenes are finished). His performance as The Joker looks to be one of his best, filled with complexity and intensity and passion and everything one sees when he is on screen.

He will, indeed, be sorely missed.

Jesus. Jesus.

I was in my Canadian Film class and I heard a couple girls behind me mention it. I then had to sit through a two hour movie wondering if it was just a rumor, if it was true. It felt like someone had punched me in the chest.

I just got home and read through my flist, and now I don't even know what to say. I just...god, I'm crying so hard. Fuck.

I don't know what to say. Really.

Yesterday, I was checking my flist a bit and everything was okay. I went showering, came back, pushed F5 and there they were. The first 4 or 5 posts about Heath on my flist. At first I was all "Oh come on..." and I had to laugh (in shock) in order not to cry or something.

He wasn't one of my favorite actors as in "OMG a new movie with him, I have to go!!" but I liked him so very very much as an actor and as a person. I saw a few interviews of him during my BBM-time and he was so likeable. :(

It still feels so unreal. This is like the first actor of "my generation" (that I know and liked) that died. I can't really describe it, really, I'm missing some words.
