For the record, Dublin is the WORST PLACE IN THE WORLD I could have chosen to spend a year JUST as I was getting obsessed with a bunch of currently popular bands. You know why? Because NO ONE COMES HERE. Belfast? Sometimes! London? Sure! Heck, let's hit Glasgow! And while we're at it, let's go to Malaysia! BUT NOT DUBLIN. Why are we the bastard stepchild of the music world??? D: D: D:

My ENTIRE FLIST this evening is "PHANTOM PLANET!!!" and "LOOK HOW MANY HCT DATES I'M GOING TO!" No joke, every single post. Now, I'm happy for you guys, in an objective way, but right now I am exhausted and drained and upset because I've hurt my knee doing karate and so I'm just sitting here sulking. Because not even the news that Panic was coming to the UK was helpful to me. On top of that, the MCR dates in London were a DIRTY STINKING LIE.

I'm going to go curl up in a sad little ball and watch myself some Torchwood.

Yeti! (Ha, sorry to barge in, I just couldn't resist. Uh, also, if I was in Dublin I would totally go see Heathers play, but then I have weird taste in music so I'm probably not the best to offer advice.)

I'm sorry you're missing so many bandom gigs though :( Maybe there'll be something on here you're interested in? Ireland really does seem to get a bad deal when it comes to tours, though.

I don't have suggestions for you. Many of my favorite bands are european, but I don't think you'd like them.

Nightwish, Within Temptation, Lacuna Coil, After Forever for example. They're all symphonic metal, and they all have lead female vocals (and luckily for me, I saw the first three in Boston).

However, if you know a european band you like, look for featured guests, who are usually part of other european bands. Thanks to this, I just discovered:
